Why is it that people with kids

see, I guess I sorta understand but at the same time...

its that haughty behavior from people in the kids club that drives me nuts.

sorty like the married club. Not all of us want to be tied down with kids in our 20's. lol.

I've been married for four years this year, but I wanted to be married for a while first and enjoy alone time with my guy.

I understand, But its not like i want to go out with my friend and only talk about my wife or my son.

I'm just not really interested in talking about what we did in highschool all the time. While some of those stories are fun, there has to be more than the past.

I hear you on the "alone time"

While I love my son more than anything, sometimes I wish that I had more time to spend with my wife. I wouldn't trade him for anything though. So its a good thing we have our parents that are more than willing to take our lil guy so we can have some alone time.

my wife does stuff with her friends once in a while (as do i). . .the kids and i have a blast. . .i put in madagascar (or some other similar movie that we all like), i make popcorn, we take all the cushions off the couches and throw them on the floor and then we lay on the floor and watch movies. . .when it's time for bed i get them changed into their pj's, get their teeth brushed, read them a story or two and then tuck them in. . .then i pour two-fingers (or so) of jim beam over a couple of cubes and sip on it till the wife gets home. . .then i pretty much molest her. . .what's not to like??

I've heard it from a lot of guys I know...so that's why I brought it up. Granted, most of em are living in an 'entrapment' situation, not a good relationship where they mutually decided that they want children.

It wasn't planned, but it still happened and just sped up the process a little bit. I busted my ass to give them everything I possibly could, and still made the time to make sure i was there for them phsically and emotionally.

I sold all my toys, (cars, motorcycle, etc) and did what I had to do to make everything right.

My wife is now 19...I bought us a house when she was 17, and we lived there for about a year. It was a nice house, but kinda small (1300 sq ft).

I sold it and had a brand new house built. Its 3000 sq. ft, and has everything my wife wanted. Why...because she deserves it!

Moral of the story...take care of what's yours!

Being able to provide the things I can for my wife and son are far more rewarding than anything else. The fact that i've beaten the odds that were stacked up against us (for being so young) and knowing that i've done the right thing is all I need.

I know I spoil her, but damn...she's been through a lot at such a young age, takes care of me and my son, the house. She deserves far more than I can give her, but damn I try.

Yeah, you will get a double amen from me on that! I'm so sick of hearing whiney ass deadbeat dads complain that the woman somehow "tricked" them into having a baby, blah, blah, blah, whine, whine, whine... It's as if they didn't know how babies are made! Makes me SICK to my stomach.
