Tax brackets here obviously depend on what you make...over about $136,000 you're paying 29% federal tax and then provincial on top of it...in Alberta it's a flat rate of 10%...so 40% isn't far off

Hey I work all day at a computer so I can do this all day long LOL, thanks for clearing up the tax bracket thing not like those Yankees understand anything about fucken tax those.
 
And ya, our basic health care is free but most people still have additional private insurance to pay for drugs, dental, etc etc....It's the same here. If you have the money, you can buy you're own health services, surgeries and so on.

As a former Force Recon Marine I can say that government and military are very different in terms of intell and how its perceived by the fucking cock suxers in the suits and ties. You ever heard the saying You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink ? Well without a lot of babble that's what happened at the Twin Towers.

The point I was trying to make was that your healthcare is included in the exceptionally high taxes. My private healthcare + my taxes would also add up to about 40% of my income. He just didn't get it though...

I'm not claiming to be an expert on Obamacare since I don't use it, but I believe that everyone is insurable now.

Also, in the past, anybody who worked for a company that offered insurance, whether the company paid none, some or all of it, would be eligible, no matter what pre-existing medical conditions there were.

There is also medicare for the elderly and Cobra for the unemployed. There are always ways to get covered. You are only seeing our homeless, our druggies and our illegal aliens on TV bitching and moaning.
