Is it possible to have only 2% bodyfat?

I'm pretty sure the top pro competetion level for a man is around 2-3% contest day. Add about 4-5% for a woman. I don't think anyone could walk around everyday under 6% bf for very long.

When Bruce Lee died I believe he was at around 3% bodyfat. It's certainly possible to have such a low bf% but it is really bad for your health. You would be more susceptible to disease and would probably feel like shit.

I would say sure! And even lower

Corpses do it all the time.

3% is about as low as you can go... and that fat would mostly be visceral.

Bruce Lee had a natural BF of about 5-6%, when he was taking steroids he got it below 5%, but I'm not sure if anyone can accurately say just how low it was today.

no disrespect for mr lee, but why does everyone rave at his body? i read somewhere that he was 133-145 pounds TOPS!!. dont get me wrong he was strong discaplined ect

I think he had a crappy ecto body! LOL I was merely using him as an example for low bodyfat. He was very fit.

I've read that people have 2-3% bodyfat just around their internal organs.

I think Lara Flynn Boyle is like -4%. That's right. She's in the negatives.

LOL

Skinny doesn't equate low body fat.

For the record.
At 2% you'd be near dead and in a shitload of pain.

ya for about 1 or 2 days. 2% is the inimum needed to support you internal organs and body function.

The LEANEST of pros "might" hit 2 or 3% on contest day.. if the times everything perfectly.

Unless your some genetic freak.. I dont think staying below 6 or 7% is practical for anyone.

It's possible but it's about the limit. I don't think anyone gets away with below 2%.
Some people get away with below 3% for limited amounts of time.

2-3% is hardcore, contemporary, elite level not-very-natural contest shape.

You really need to see Bruce Lee in action. His body was honed to
perfection, he was 140lb of lean, defined muscle. He believed in a usable
fighting physique. He did not want mass. If you can look at him and not be impressed, your only kidding yourself.

I am 17 years old, I went to get my body mass measured by my personal trainer (just started) he had me step on this machine to measure me and it turns out I am about 5,8 116lb and (to my surprize) 2% body fat!!! I am perfectly healthy, eat normally, have decent strength. So I guess it is possible.

I'm pretty sure that a guy who is 5'8" and 116 pounds is neither perfectly healthy, nor decently strong.
