Massachusetts License To Carry Bitch

I've taken the required license to carry firearms course in Massachusetts. I've taken it twice actually, one time sitting in the class with my girlfriend. I've signed up for the Utah non-resident license to carry course and another concealed carry tactics class. I've spent hours at the range firing various handguns. I've gotten so interested in firearms that I've learned how to reload and intend to become a certified NRA instructor.

One thing stands in the way of me becoming a responsible gun owner. The local firearms permit officer never answers his phone and doesn't return my calls. I've been hounding him for weeks now. I cannot even apply for the permit unless I schedule an interview with him.

Massachusetts sucks for firearms enthusiasts. We still have gun laws that mirror the Clinton Crime Act. We have a "consumer protection" act that requires all legal guns be tested at a lab and certified by the state before they can be sold here... no new Glocks among other manufacturers are legal. Having more the 2000 rounds of ammunition per gun is a felony. Having more than 10000 rounds of all calibers is a felony.
Now a bill resembling New York's firearms ban is being introduced.

I recently returned from a trip to Kansas. While in Kansas I coached two friends in proper firearms handling. I'm looking to move to Kansas where it is legal to open carry. America was built on a foundation of a militia population. Guns and whiskey... it doesn't get any more American than that.

That's too much work. In the south we pull up to a gun show and load up the back of truck, pay cash and shake hands.

Took me six months here in MA to get mine. But you can get a used glock way if you want one I have one. This state is full of cum guzzling libs what do you expect.

If you keep up on local politics Patrick introduced a bill limiting licensed gu. Owners to one fire arm a month. And there is another guy mirroring a dickhead in Ct pushing for only single shot weapons being legal.
 
uhm....get your permit in Ct then transfer it to Ma? I used to take my guns from Ct to a range in Ma pretty much every weekend and nary a law was broken.

Hell I lived in Ct, took my permit class in Mass then applied for my permit in Ct.

I'd give you shit but Mass does have some of the craziest gun laws I've ever seen. A lot of them don't make any sort of sense and Im a bleeding heart liberal.
A friend of mine in Mass. recently got arrested because he let his permit lapse. Someone broke into his house; he came home during the break-in has extremely aggressive dogs and guns...doesn't use either on the guy that broke in. Just called the cops. Break-in guy says the friend has drugs at his house (both foggers nothing interesting) cops go back to his house search it, confiscate his guns. Next thing he knows the DA is throwing unlawful gun charges at him and improper storage charges..dude doesn't have kids and theyre in his locked bedroom in his locked house...Im not sure how the DA really came up with charges in it.
The police dept doesn't even really get it.

Agreed I grew up in Ct had my carry permit at 21 moved to mass and had to get a new one from MA. Same thing happened to my future brother in law permit lapsed luckily no arrest just a fine.

I own a grand total of one gun, for which i use for home defense and CCW. I go shooting a few times a year maybe. Im not obsessed with shit but i believe in each persons right to keep and bear a firearm that is common for the times they live in. George washington had a flintlock one shot pistol, we have semiauto pistols that hold 15+1.

I own about 25-30+ guns including lot's of AK, AR and FAL styled rifles, however I don't feel the need to talk about it and pine over it every second of every day.

My local FFL dealer makes it easy by placing a peener measuring ruler on the counter next to the register.
