New England secured the #1 seed in the AFC will a strong finish to the season although their pass defense is one of the worst in the NFL statistically. They enjoyed a bye week and will host the lesser seed which is the Denver Broncos.

Denver won last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime even though they were heavy underdogs at home on the strength of Tim Tebow's big game and a defense that shut down Pittsburgh for most of the 1st half.

both teams met late in the season with New England routing Denver 41-23 in Denver.

the weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and cold.

if the weather was god awful I dont think it would make a difference anyway.. the pats are built for the short passing game anyway. and the broncos run a lot. so i dont think either game plan would change IMO

well they blew them out late in the season even though denver took an early lead. and then you gotta figure bellichek had that game to study tebow and learn his weaknesses. the denver offense couldn't do a thing. not like the pats D is anything special, they don't have great talent either I dont care what people say, but their system shut tebow down and seemed like they knew what tebow was gonna do and how to defend him. rush him up the middle and secure the edges so he can't run. and shut down the middle passes cause we know he can't throw outside, and since the edges are secure if he tries going to the outside to buy time you've got a man in his face. so it was perfect defense.
