bookie 200% k hits !! post in here everyday for free k hits !!

sorry guys and gals... easter weekend i will be out of town. wont be putting up games. but i will be back monday no worries.

We have so many public holidays around easter weekend that the public schools have closed for the whole of next week :D

Yay, Mom and Dad get a couple of days off, woohoo....

When I get home from work, which late-night snack should I enjoy -- pita + hummus, or cheese + crackers?

Okay, you have asked enough, come over here, I'll pull your plug (that may not sound like I intended it to sound) :faint:

How am I supposed to do that while I'm still at work?

Also, that's a pretty long commute just for a mercy killing.

Home from work at last!

And I went with the cheese and crackers. I had a small block of some nice boutique-y extra-sharp cheddar. Of course the cat insisted that I share some cheese with him too. Last week I had some Red Leicester that was really nice. I'll finish off the hummus tomorrow night.

Fancy....

My mouth is watering something furious right now

Macaroni, Cheese, BAcon, Viennas, Russians and mince ... my wife knows just how! LOL!!!!! I am solemnly swearing that I'll NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER pin Sust again ... and the worst of it is that I don't know which one of the esters I am having a bad reaction to ... cause it consists of 5 different Esters! All I know is that it hurts, not so much during pinning, but around 5 hours after, the actual glute starts paining. The following day my arse is so sore I can barely move or walk, and the 2nd day after pinning I get all sweaty and fevery ... not a good experience ... at all!

From the looks of it, husband o' mine polished off Easter chocolate + litre of milk as a late night snack

Hello :D IS it just me, or is this also one of those weeks which refuses to come to an end?

You should see the weather here, it is just a foul day all around. It is 0 degrees, freezing rain and dark as night. Can't wait for the week to end tomorrow!!!

Great, more rain. Just what we needed. Just as I was about to head out for some lunch.

Even luckier fish...

Mmmmm, broccoli tastes so much better in liquid form, with cauliflower, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, jealous much??

:D
OH HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :chomp: :RADAR I prefer my broccoli and cauliflower steamed, no spices or flavourants, but only half-way steamed, it must still have a rather decent crunch to it when I chow down. :D ;) :p :)

I like mine crunchy too, but when it comes to broccoli I have to have lemon juice and lots of black pepper.
I'm a spice addict in general. With the exception of salt. I never ever ever ever add salt.

Favourite spices and flavourings:
Mrs. Dash original- on salads or vegetables
Sriracha hot sauce- on everything!!! everything!!!
fresh ground pepper (duh)
chili powder & cumin combo- on chicken or beef
cinnamon (on oatmeal)
ginger root- with stir fry vegetables or chicken
garlic- with just about anything
lemon pepper seasoning (no sodium)
curry powder- on salmon or white fish, in the poaching liquid
poppy seeds- good with a tuna sandwich

etc. etc.

yay for spices!

WOW!!!!! You weren't kidding when you said you LUUUUUUV-DEM-SPICES! LOL!!!!! I like hot sauce with a lot of things, but my intestines don't agree so much any more as of late ... I get indigestion and heartburn to such an extent that I have to sit and sleep, otherwise I'll definately choke my way into the hereafter! Pepper I like, black or white, fine ground or rough, it don't matter much to me. Cinnamon I LUV ... never tried it on oatmeal though. Garlic is GOOD, and poppy seeds I have always just had in rusks ... never with anything else :)

What's a rusk? I thought that was a little brown apple?

Ah- I just googled it, I see now. I was thinking of a russet apple. I don't think I have ever had a rusk. I have had poppy strudel though, that is sehr gut. *grade 9 german class ftw*

Das ist wirklich sehr gut, ja? Being from a german, dutch and flamish ancestory, Duetsch makes perfect sense to me :D Strudels are good, but personally, it does not even compare to a nice warm cup of coffee on a cold winter's morning and a rusk dipped into the coffee ... YUM-BLOODY-YUM!!!!!!!!!! :chomp: :chomp: :chomp: :chomp: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Well Everybody, it is now officially Good Friday in South Africa, 0:00. A good one to everybody and may all Christians remember what this weekend is really about. Time for me to go to bed ... Momma she is a callin' me ... I wonder if she has a surprise in mind? LOL!!! Anywho ... zu wedersiens ... C U later!

I had some pita and hummus but I still crave more so I'm gonna finish off the rest of my stash.

@ Essie.

Me makes karringmelk beskuit just likes me Ouma. You right, nothing better than Boeretroos and beskuit on any morning, never mind a cold one... :)

H
Me too ... I likes de karringmelk beskuit and also Anysbeskuit ... also like my Ouma taught me, and a cup of "boeretroos" and beskuit on a cold morning ... freakin' YUM! :D

@ Essie

Jip, the weekend is something very special, and it has nothing to do with eggs and bunnies either, never could understand that....

H
Yeah ... me neither. Where the heck do bunnies and chocolate eggs come into the death of JC on our behalf? How do easter eggs come into existence anyway ... does some raunchy bunny decide to hump the daylights out of some poor, unsuspecting hen and then, voila ... EASTER EGGS APPEAR!!!!!!!????????? :worried::p;):D:confused::faint:

I find it somewhat disturbing to hear a male singer sing:

"I want to fall asleep and wake up with you inside me" ...

Ugh ... it is absolutely HORRIBLE to get up on a Saturday morning, everything is covered in mist, you look through your cupboards and don't feel like having anything in there for B/Fast ... it's cold out, it's miserable and it just makes you feel like life sucks! Ugh ... I think I should hit the weights and grab a shower after, maybe I'll fell a bit better?

No betting today?
Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh 12:00 PM
NY Rangers at Washington 3:00 PM
Montreal at Boston 7:00 PM
Los Angeles at San Jose 10:30 PM

I'd rather stick my hand in the disposal than go back to work this evening. But we all know which one of those things will actually happen.

Home from work at last, no more pain until tomorrow.

Stopped by the store for some midnight snack materials, stocked up on pita + hummus, also cheese + crackers. This Hoffman's Extra Sharp Cheddar is pretty good.

Damn!!!! This has been one rough-arsed weekend ... Finally home ... I am freakin' starving, my nose is blocked, my throat is sore, I developed a very irritating cough ... Ugh ... hopefully it blows over quite fast! LOL!!!

And yay me....

I have just hauled out my latest batch of biltong (pretty close to beef jerkey, but I'm sure it's like a milllion times better :) )

Damn it's salty and fatty, just the way it should be :)

Ready to go lift.

Do you make your own? And, yes, I have had beef jerkey, biltong is a million times better! :)

09:00 on a Tuesday morning ... working, working, working. Working is so GREAT I'll carry on doing it untill the day I retire! LOL!!!!

Hmmmm, yes work IS great, isn't it??

Got disillusioned with corporate a few years ago and went into business with the wife. Best decision ever...payday can be difficult sometimes, but at least I don't have the man telling when I can take a dump and when not, as well as spend quality time with the family...

:D

I got sick from Thursday night until Sunday with a cold of some kind. :( I slept till 4 p.m. on Friday in hopes of getting better sooner, and it worked- I feel fine today.
First time sick since Sept. 2009.
My secret tea recipe for sore throat/cough:
herbal tea, your favourite (I use echinacea or lemon)
add in:
lemon juice- a few tablespoonfuls
cayenne pepper- just a sprinkle
it really works well
if you wanted honey in it I'm sure that would be OK too.

Sounds like it might work ... I'll give it a try for sure :D
