GF broke up with me over steroids

My GF of 2 years (now ex I guess) are really into fitness, and she got in great shape because of the education I gave her. I've been researching steroids the past few months, and I know she's opposed to it, which sucks. Anyways, after recently coming to a final decision on what cycle I'm going to do, I sat her down and told her my plans, and that I know she doesn't like it, but I'd rather have her know and be mad than to go behind her back and do it. Well she didn't take it well and basically gave me the ultimatum, steroids or me. I told her she can't control me like that and it's not fair, it's a personal decision with my body that doesn't affect the relationship. Her stance is that her voice isn't heard and I don't care that it hurts her and choose my body over her. So she just broke up with me. I don't know if she'll come around.

Anyone have experience with this kind of thing? I can't get her to listen to one second of education on the matter. She's just attached to the negative stigma of steroids as drugs and will not be with someone on drugs.
 
Lesson learned:
Never tell ANYONE that youre hitting the roids. EVER. Because even if she is fine with it, later on when the relationship goes to hell, she can use it against you by telling everyone and their fucking family that you used steroids. Or even worse, say you get married and all is well, you are using steroids and have a wife and kids. Oh but then you get a divorce and she tells the judge youve been using steroids and she can prove it. So there goes your ass in divorce and custody battles. Dont think it can happen to you? Ask around here.

It doesnt matter what "facts and scientific evidence" you have in your favor, perception is all that matters. Also the fact that roids are illegal isnt going to help either.
 
I couldn't not tell her. I'm around her all the time, she'll see me popping pills and at least see me blow up. She knows other people on roids and is aware of the bloat face, acne, increase in size/strength, irritability. I couldn't not tell her.

Then you made your decision and thats the way it goes. Move on and next time since you know you are going to hit the sauce, dont get so attached at the hip to some GF.
 
i know why u told her, its because communication is the foundation of the strongest relationships,

but id be more hurt by her leaving u over that.... i told my gf about gh , because i was hurt, and that i might do it, she didnt judge..
she said as long as u will be ok and u promise its for healing, i trust you and love u and ill even do a pinning for you in your butt.
perhaps she just doesnt understand? id talk to her again, u shouldnt break up over that... it owuldnt have effected ur relationship negatively...

but getting caught doing it IS BETTER than telling her... ur doing it...

I mean I met her before I was this hard into fitness and decided to go this route. The relationship was solid. She just can't handle a decision that she didn't predict I would ever make.

I didn't want to sacrifice the relationship over it.

If she never could have predicted you would ever take steroids then why are you surprised at her ultimatum? Given steroids current status in society, its also a Schedule III Narcotic, its not unreasonable for her to feel that way bro.

I know a lot of guys on this board do research and feel Juice is safe and everyone else is just misinformed. But realize junkies talk the same way about drugs. One thing about junkies, they only talk to each other about there drug use, lol. So you sharing research to your girl probably wont get you far. And honestly, I can probably show you research about anything if I dig enough.

I personally don't use the sauce, but I also feel it should be legal and the gov. shouldn't be able to tell me what I can and can't do to my own body if it isn't hurting others.
 
I am keeping it from mine too. We live together and get up early for work together. But I was and have been smart about it. I planted a seed a while ago about doing different things with my diet and training. So now that im getting bigger she, even if she suspects it, believes me. I havnt told but one person, a close friend who is also on the sauce right now. Besides all you juice heads. I realize I couldn't have a normal sit down conversation with her about it. Bottom line they are illegal Schedule III narcotics and that's how she would see it. I would rather beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.
 
none of the women i've dated the past year or two have cared that i use steroids.

in fact, one offered to buy them for me....and a couple helped me inject.

they respect me enough to understand why I do it and that I am intelligent enough to know what I'm doing and that I wont go overboard... when i meet them they know right off the bat that fitness is important to me by the way I look and they like guys who are muscular..

this girl wasn't the one for you at all. she didn't respect you enough to allow you to explain to her the pro's and con's. maybe you aren't enough of a fitness junkie where she wouldn't question your decision? i don't know. all the women i've dated seek advice from me on fitness, so obviously they are not gonna question my knowledge and actions.

in your case I don't think this was the issue, I just think you should of explained to her about AAS use and that there are a dozen myths out there (like it shrinks your penis, or it gives you roid rage, or it can kill you)... maybe you should of introduced her to it gradually?? or maybe showed her beastdrol which was (or is depending on the new law) legal. maybe tell her doctors prescribe testosterone to people who are low, or that they prescribe other AAS for other ailments. educate her more instead of just putting it on her plate so fast.
 
congrats on finding out what type of woman she is early, like before she had you tied down with a child and a commitment..

You should do this with every woman you have a relationship, not to end the relationship but to find out if she's in it for you.. or herself..

good luck and if you changed one woman for the better you can change a younger and prettier one for the better

i wouldn't care as long as she knew what she was doing!!! women feel the same way, you have to prove that you know what you are doing and that you are doing it for the RIGHT REASONS. the right reasons being you want to look good for her, and you want to satsify her in bed, etc.

2 years can be tough to watch someone walk out. i agree with those that say its best for you to find out about this now. i just started dating someone and i told her (helps bc her exhusband was on HRT) but point being she knows and it nice to able to share my gains in the gym and in the bedroom and watch her enjoy it too! I dont think she was the one bro - hard to hear that sometimes but i think let it all be out in the open and be your self.

I tried that. She proposed the hypo of her telling me she was going to do coke everyday to stay skinny, and I told her it's not the same. I'm planning to do a calculated cycle that will end, and steroids are prescribed by doctors for various things and is only illegal if not prescribed, like all prescription drugs. Coke is illegal no matter what.

I think you're right that I put it on her plate to fast and said I'm doing this, instead of talking to her about it slowly, but the thing is I knew she was against it and no matter how slow I did it, she would say no and if you do it, we're done.

It's a tough situation because you really can't trust any girl with anything illigil either because they use it against you one way or another down the road. At the end of the day as long as steroids aren't impacting your relationship she shouldn't have anything to say about it, it's your body bro. I'm not in a serious relationship but I told my "friend" about and she didn't like it but admitted that she needed to learn more about them before judging me and now after she sees how they're making me look she doesn't seem to mind so much lol, I even pinned in front of her last time I was with her she was all about it and asking me all sorts of ?'s. A relationship is always tough, it's about giving the other person what they need in exchange for what you need. The fairy tale of "true love" is just that a fairy tale. Been married 15 years now, and trust me when people say it's not good to tell everything, they're right. Can you imagine if I told my wife every time I thought about fucking another woman, can you imagine if she told me about all her past lovers and what they did. Be real, be respectful, but not always truthful. How many times do you think I tell my wife she is the only one for me and how she's the hottest woman in the world, or how she tells how wonderful i am ( which is definitely not true :-)) These are things that improve our love even though they are not 100% true. She's happy, I'm happy, enough said isn't that what life about. Find a woman who understands this and you'll find what your looking for.

This happened to me in my divorce hearing. I had to take the stand and be questioned by her defense attorney about my steroid use, and she also had printed out all the post off Elite Fitness as evidence .. I went through hell in my divorce. Dave is exactly right.

its hard to NOT tell them if you're leaving with them. My woman knows, mainly because it'd be too hard to hide EVERYTHING and when I need to pin I just tell her not to come in the room. So technically she has never seen it, but knows? lol

wow, have heard rumors of stuff like that happening but wasn't sure if it was true.

the fact that she printed out elite fitness is pretty ruthless, but gotta do what you gotta do in that situation to convince the judge i guess.

i told my girl that I was using them she got pissed (wish she took off but hey what can ya do) realized she will prob be a vinictive %^&* once summer comes and she finds herself single so i convinced her i was just messin with her n the pins were for B12 injections that my doctor presecribed.

Dam right and as if it's only over pills my mrs found my bag of syringes and 6 vials a went ape shit. Difference is I told her straight I'm doing them I ent stopping, now I'm 190lbs and now she fucking loves it. Don't waste too much time with the orals get sum test and deca and blow out properly you could throw some dbol in to kick start gains or anavar for some extra strength. Peace out
 
Personally I had already talked about it enough with my wife when she was still a gf. I kind of sold her on it by telling her that the fake boobs she wants are basically the same thing except my way of * changing * was alot cheaper and didn't involve surgery. Then she watched bigger, faster, stronger with me and she's fine with it. She actually thinks its stupid now that juice is illegal. My baby is almost converted to pro-juice lol. I also read her just a little bit of the research I do and just keep her informed of pro's vs con's.

No problem. After couple grand in counseling a while back thought I'd share some of it and save u the expense. Lol

Fairly new myself to juice on my second cycle now. The mental and physical positives so outweigh the negatives but it's hard for people to see through the negatives sometimes.

I keep gear in locked desk drawer for oral I buy male only supplement at health food store and swap out contents just some ideas for next time.

I, myself, would never chose lifting or gear over a loved one. I know people that would, and I have lived through times where I would have, but not anymore. Its important to me, but I dont care how big and strong I am, it does nothing to ease the pain when you are clutching your chest and can barely move in the early stages of losing a loved one. I would give every hour in the gym back just to have more time with them, even after several years. A lifting lifestyle is meant to enhance your life, not control and dictate it. Those that know, know. The others that think Im a big pussy and not diehard like them will understand later.
 
Just tell them you are on an HRT therapy from a Doctor! That's what I do! Works everytime !

I've been trying to get her to sit and watch bigger stronger faster with me or something like that and she stubbornly refuses to entertain the thought if steroids in any fashion

its an OKAY documentary on steroids, supps, etc. but it can't do what rock hard literature can do. and you have to talk to her and prove you are knowledgeable. that movie doesn't teach you how to use steroids, how to PCT... if you proved to her that you knew what you were doing she would eventually be okay with it. women don't like to be pushed too hard, but this one seems to be bratty. how old are both of you?

no mature woman would dump a guy if she didn't get her way just like that after 2 years. she must be 18

Turn it around 5he other way, how would the woman feel if she came to you and wanted cosmetic surgery to make herself feel better and you said surgery or me.

At the end of the day if she stated "Her stance is that her voice isn't heard and I don't care that it hurts her" there was something else wrong in the relationship, AAS just gave her something she could pin the blame on and take the easy way out.

How does the OP taking steroids hurt her? She said her voice isnt heard, she made this all about her. Its a shame you had to waste 2 years of your life with her to find out that once things get rocky she uses ultimatums. Now how a life long couple deals with difficult situations.

Just not sure if i should send it now or later, i just saw her again yesterday and we were texting last night and basically said bye. It's friday though and she's probably going to go out with her girls tonight and I don't think she'd hook up with anyone, but the thought kind of scares me. Should I cut off contact for a while and hope she comes around to see my point of view? Or email her again before she goes out tonight and does something stupid.

Hope??...... Man no offense but that sounds desperate. Let her go her way and have fun and you do the same. You'll be thankful and happier in a bit. Too many women out there to sweat just one.

I want her back, I really do. I'm considering saying fuck the cycle, but then I'd resent her for controlling me.
 
Spades24 - Dude you are going to ruin your life thinking about this. This shit will eat at you night and day. If you're not with her and you think shes out there hooking up with other guys than really she doesn't want to be with you. I don't mean to be harsh and I know you're hurting ( we have all been there ) but you have to let her go. If she truly wants you then she will come to you. You chasing her will only push her away more.
