Ok, here's the deal. Soy protein will not have as much flavonoids (like genistein) as an
unprocessed product; however, it still has significant amounts. Also, these flavonoids are
SLIGHTLY estrogenic. However, the overall effect in low dosages in the body is a significant
anti-estrogenic effect.
Believe me on this--a BV of 168 is absolutely ludicrous. The whey industry itself rates whey
at 94 and realizes that it is not quite as good in terms of BV as egg.
Found stats today on BCAA and glutamine--Whey has 20.1 grams of BCAAs per 100 grams of protein and
has 4.9 grams of glutamine. Soy has 18.1 grams of BCAAs per 100 grams of protein and 10.5 grams
of glutamine. You decide which is better!
I am really leaning towards mixing these proteins! I don't think you'll be able to
beat the combination for price, effects, etc. I will use the absolute best soy isolate
in the industry. It is instantized, bland, comes from the largest soy protein producer in
the WORLD, and is extracted using a water process instead of chemical!!!
Keep up the fight
