: Your receptors are what recognizes the substance in
: your body. For instance if you are using a fair dosage of
: testosterone such as 200-400mg per week in the beginning your
: body will recognize all of that and you will make great gains.
: Gradually though your receptors start to downgrade or build up
: a resistance to the testosterone. Therefore to get the same results
: that you have been experiencing you either have to up the dosage or
: stop your cycle and let your bodies systems come back to normal. That is
: why bodybuilders cycle their drugs. If it was not for receptor downgrade
: you could make the same great gains that you made during your first cycle
: constantly year round. High dosages just seems to accelerate receptor downgrade
: but it will gradually happen no matter what the dosage that you are using is.
Actually, there have been a couple new studies down on steroids and they have figured
out that receptor downgrade isn't actually true. if it were so, your body would have
stopped accepted testosterone, estrogen and other steroids years ago. What they found
was that your body gets all it can get and maintains itself with a certain amount of
steroids that you continually get anything out of the steroid, you need to increase the
dosage. Once your body maintains functions (immune, muscle, etc..) with that amount,
it's time to increase the dosage again. They also found that these steroids are not
as bad for your liver as they thought it was.
