CS could you do me (us) a favor and try to get in your base miles first and then blast the pyruvate?! We are usually on a high when we can get on the bike (finally) for that first month. I think it would be more interesting to us and to your wallet if you could compare recovery and distances done AFTER you've been going a month. It's obvious that the stuff worked for you during the XC season. It would be really cool if you raced one weekend and then took pyr and then came back and see how bad you can hammer everybody the following week! BTW, what kind of gears do you guys push in those RAAMS?
thanks for the info on xylitol and malto, but now you're going to make me look up why I want it, damnit! It's a sweetener and it anti-catabolic. I don't think I'd use it in an energy drink while I'm riding as it can cause gastric distress. I think if you slowly add to the amount taken you will have no problems though. I have never had any trouble with those xylitol candies. Thanks again. Anarchy in the USA!
