: Hey, C.S. I also am into lifting and cycling, although not ultra-distance, and I'm real interested in your pyruvate experience. I'm also not your typical endurance athlete build. My nickname with my local club is "Clydesdale". Guess why. I may not race up hills but I flatten everyone on flats and sprints. I do mtb races, some crits (flirted with cat 2 a couple yeras back) , but more with what I guess what you'd call medium distance cycling like the Assault on Mt. Mitchell or the Sonoma century, along with track & kirian racing. Nothing like a little specialization. Anyway, can you give me a number or address for Unique or 1-2-3 for the mass quantities - I can't find the note below. I can't justify $50 for 2 weeks, so this kinda info helps.
: Have you read the stuff on tribesterone and androstene? I'm trying out with Another Jeff tribulus in herb form (make a tea). It looks like it would help in lifting and recovery, and in a race of under 2 hours. I've had great results so far this year using HIT lifting and studio cycling for strength and endurance, and one of these ought to really help.

I have not been able to use pyruvate during bike training or racing because there's still too much snow here and I started using it at the start of the nordic ski season. In a previous post I suggested that it may be partly to somewhat largely responsible for the increase in the amount and quality of skiing I was able to accomplish this year (getting towards 1600km now vs.900km for almost exactly the same amount of time). Also, my bodyweight and bodyfat are lower this year than in previous years. Now I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the fact that I'm doing a lot more cardio (more skiing) but I honestly believe that part of the reason why I was able to do more in the first place was that I using the stuff consistently. For weight loss it won't compare pricewise or efficiency-wise to an ECA stack; I just consider whatever weight/bodyfat loss I've achieved as a nice "side effect". It'll be interesting to see how things go when I get my ass back on the bike. By that time I hope Unique has pyruvate in stock as I plan to take at least 10 grams a day and maybe even more. Apparently there's no toxicity to this stuff and I do think larger doses will show much greater benefits as AJ mentioned previously.
I just started using ANDROSTENE about 2 weeks or so ago and, maybe it's in my head, but my weight training sessions have been a lot better. I won't divulge the weights that I'm doing because compared (more than likely) to the rest of the guys on the board, they're pretty pathetic (i.e. can do 235 for 6 reps on bench...on a good day). Still, compared to what I originally was doing (now that was a joke) I have seen definite improvements. I posted earlier that I did a 30k ski workout after I think three days on the stuff and it was the best, most easy feeling workout I have had this winter. Again, I don't know if it's me, but I've felt stronger (if that's possible) and just overall pretty damn good since I started using Androstene. I'm 38 years old if that has any influence on the effectiveness of the product. It's definitely something I plan to keep using.
