I have been using pyruvate for as long as MedPro (ie ripoff pro) has had it available. I have seen my aerobic/endurance workouts increase substantially this year and my bodyfat/weight are much lower than they usually are at this time of the year (it's f***ing freezing here half the time...my body wants that damn fat for insulation!). The problem is that a bottle of MedPro's product is $49 for about a two week supply (you need to take at least five grams of the product). Right now Prolab has a pyruvate product out called Provate One which is pyruvate along with some thermogenics (I don't have a bottle in front of me so I can't tell you exactly what's in it). They also have a product called Provate Two which is pyruvate along with l-carnitine, HCA, Chromium, and vanadyl. This is the one I am considering using since I don't respond very well to thermogenics like the E/C/A stack (it works well but I get too damn wired). I think both of these things can be bought for around $24.00 (?) from Elite Athlete in Oregon. I can get more info if you're interested but you know, as soon as Unique/Mass Supplements has pyurvate in bulk that's the only place I'd buy it. Sorry for rambling, hope this helps.
