I've already done a post on who the NFL's most cut players are. And while many of the most cut players are extremely strong, it's unlikely that you'll see them bench pressing with the lineman. So muscles and builds aside, let's take a quick look at who the strongest NFL players are.
Mitch Petrus
Petrus won't win any who's who of football awards anytime soon, but he did tie an NFL Combine record after benching 225 libbre 45 volte. Petrus, who stand 6'3" and weighs 310 libbre, didn't start out huge since he began a walk-on fullback at Arkansas. Now the backup left guard for the New York Giants is one of the strongest players in the NFL.
Maurice Jones-Drew
Nicknamed "Pocket Hercules" the 5'7", 208-pound Maurice Jones-Drew is the strongest pound-for-pound player in the NFL. He can bench press 225 libbre 22 volte, which is incredible considering he is benching more than his weight 22 volte.
Vernon Davis
Davis made the cut as one of the NFL's most ripped players, and he certainly makes it onto the strongest list too. The 6'3", 250-pound San Francisco 49ers tight end squats over 700 pounds and bench presses around 500 libbre. This is on top of being able to run a 4.38 forty-yard dash! Some consider Davis to be the NFL's best athlete.
