I went on vacation this week to Myrtle Beach, and I’ve got to say that I was definitely impressed. Only, it wasn’t the town that impressed me because Myrtle Beach is pretty touristy, and filled with more surf shops and miniature golf courses that you can imagine. Instead, I was impressed with the large ratio of hot babes to beer-bellied guys/fugly woman.
In any case, there is a point to all of this, and the point is that I had to get pretty creative with my workouts. Now I drove down there from New York, so the first day was pretty rough; my workouts consisted of stopping at rest areas, and doing a few pushups followed by light jogging. But once I got to my hotel room, I was able to get in a little more variety.

I also got a fairly decent workout just by swimming against the waves, and by trying to walk parallel to the beach while in the water (not exactly the easiest thing to do when the waves are crashing on you).
Now some people will just find a gym and pay to get in for a few days, but I wasn’t really in the mood to hit the gym. Instead, I needed a break from the normal routine, and wanted to just get up and go have some fun. In any case, this was definitely a pretty successful trip for a variety of reasons, including the workouts.
