I'm not the biggest Brett Favre fan in the world, and I've been annoyed by all of the positive attention he has gotten over the years from announcers - in particular John Madden! But I realize that many football fans have come to idolize Favre and his on-field accomplishments, which include winning two Super Bowls, surviving 20 years in the NFL, and earning three MVP awards. But in the wake of a sexting and penis picture scandal, all of Favre's accomplishments are suddenly being called into question.
Aparentemente, Favre channeled his inner frat boy in leaving lewd voice mails and text messages for New York Jets "Gameday" host Jenn Sterger during the 2008 season. Favre of course played for the Jets in the 2008 season during his infamous 'I'm retired, now I'm unretired' years.
Sterger has been around the media during the last few years for hosting several small sports-related TV shows and modeling for Playboy. Na minha opinião, Sterger is playing the whole innocent act here claiming that Favre tried to charm her before sending a picture of his wiener. I'm sure the flirting went both ways, and I doubt Favre would send a penis pic to her without thinking he had some kind of chance.
But my thoughts aside, Favre is a married man who just took a big hit to his reputation that not even John Madden could rebuild for him. Now I can't cast him into the fire since a lot of other guys might fall into temptation in the face of Jenn Sterger; Contudo, I can't help but think that his legacy is tarnished forever after this.
