Many of you who are familiar with my writing and the EliteFitness website know that I don't have a problem with steroid users or even sellers. As long as the sellers are distributing quality gear, I'm glad they are helping bodybuilders reach their goals amidst the rough steroid laws out there. Claro, I do have a little problem with steroid dealers when they are cops.
Such is the case with Texas state highway patrolman Jeff Jerman who was arrested on charges of selling roids. Officers are the ones who are supposedly upholding the law and busting these evil steroid users that try to build their bodies to the fullest potential. So when one is caught selling the same stuff that they bust others for, it's quite a double standard. It is even more of a double standard when the officer gets a mistrial!
This is what happened with Jerman when Judge Rex Emerson ruled that the jury decided Jerman was guilty before the trail began. One of the jurors actually told Jerman that she thought he was guilty before the case went to court.
Jerman was arrested after he tried to sell an undercover officer steroids back in September of 2009. Jerman was accused of manufacturing and selling steroids; he later lost his state trooper job after the charges were made. A new trial is set for February 1st so we'll have to see what happens with this.
