This week marks the anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. And as such, I believe that it is a good time for personal reflection and to think about what we lost as a nation.
It’s easy, isn\'t it to get so wrapped up in your own problems that you forget about the needs of others. So putting aside my own legal problems and problems with BusinessWeek, I thought I would reflect on 9-11 one year later.
Many of you know that our offices are located in downtown New York City, over 10 minutes from where the World Trade Center stood. And our ISP is only about half a mile away. We are next to Saint Vincent\'s hospital, which is the medical facility nearest to the World Trade Center.
On that day, I will never forget how many of our members emailed to make sure that we were all right. And I\'ll never forget how with CNN and the other major news sites overwhelmed, many of you came to our Forums to discuss, vent, and mourn. You might take a look at the search engine for the posts from that week. They are truly heartbreaking.
The week of 9-11, we donated 20% of the sale of all Mass Quantities supplements and 20% of the sale of all Elite Fitness reports to the American Red Cross. Being as close as we are to ground zero, we felt like we needed to do something, and thought that our efforts would set an example and help a worthy organization.

Services include trauma, bereavement and grief counseling; ongoing mental health support; tutoring; and mentoring. Such long-term support is often overlooked in emergency relief efforts.
The September 11th Children\'s Fund is located at the National Philanthropic Trust, a public charity with national scope. The Fund was started with an initial gift of $250,000 from the Hasbro Children\'s Foundation. Bovendien, The September 11th Children\'s Fund is one of the charities recognized by LibertyUnites.org.
The LibertyUnites.org site was created by President Bush and an Internet industry-wide coalition of companies with a goal to encourage charitable giving to the most reliable and trusted organizations directly supporting the relief efforts – of which the September 11th Children\'s Fund is one.

And if you will permit me, I would like to make one more push. Although cash is the most essential need for continuing relief efforts, I understand that for some, even a small monetary contribution may not be possible at this time. But one good way to help that costs nothing is to donate blood. Nationwide, the Red Cross system inventory is 20 percent below critical levels and they currently need immediate donations. While the inventory levels of all blood types are low at the moment, O Positive, O Negative, B Negative and A Positive are in particularly short supply.
