Da poco tempo, Major League Baseball decided to ban players from using deer antler spray because it's said to contain insulin-like growth factor, or IGF-1. If you're not totally familiar with IGF-1, it helps mediate the levels of human growth hormone in the body. And this is the big part because HGH enables athletes to build muscle and cut fat.

All of this has me wondering if deer antler spray truly works as a muscle-building agent. Now I'll have to be honest, I've never truly heard of deer antler spray and how it can propel athletes to new gains. E personalmente, it sounds like something out of a cookey sketch comedy show.
But if Major League Baseball is willing to ban it, then I have to think that deer antler spray could have a positive effect on packing on muscle. Certamente, I also believe that bodybuilders should just stick to the real deal until deer antler spray is proven to produce the same effects as regular HGH or IGF-1.
