Anybody who knows me already realizes that I don't give a shit if someone uses steroids. As long as they know what they're doing and are knowledgeable about AAS, I think it's cool to juice. Schließlich, it is the best way to pack on muscle!
Außerdem, I don't really blame professional athletes for juicing because there are millions of dollars on the line in sports. Sure it's against the rules in most pro sports, but you do what you gotta do to make the millions.
Hingegen, with the recent admissions from Ken Shamrock and Lenny Dykstra about their steroid usage, I'm always wondering whether pro athletes only fess us to juicing for publicity. Schließlich, what do these athletes have to gain from admitting to steroids years after their career is over. Dykstra has been out of the MLB for several years, and Shamrock is no longer active in MMA so it only makes perfect sense for them to admit juicing now.
Perhaps one or the other (oder beides) are short on cash and really need to get their name in the headlines....I don't know. But the timing of their recent steroids admissions really have me skeptical. I guess they're just following the Jose Canseco model of admitting to juicing when the publicity and money dries up; then you've suddenly got press coverage again, and maybe something good financially will come out of the deal.
For Canseco, it earned him a big-time book deal, TV appearances, and relevance a decade after he put the bat away. Natürlich, he had to narc out a lot of his fellow pros in the process....
