Naaa it just cleans up unwanted file's. I am bad for keeping my puter clean of junk files

I use Ad-Aware SE Professional and AVG free because it's small, it doesn't run in the background, easy quick updates and can be removed from the system anytime. Never had any problems with either.

Crapcleaner will wipe your history and Easycleaner will clean your registry, both are free downloads.

You can also do a virus and spyware scan online here --> http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

My advice is to stay away from McAfee and Norton because they are very much like a virus themselves in that they are almost impossible to remove from your system without formatting the hard drive and they will slow your system down.

Dude they are no more harder to remove than anything else you have on your system, you need to learn more about your puter.

i used the microsoft spyware sweeper and it sucks. i just downloaded tenebril's free scanner and remover and it detected 36 spyware, adware, malware, trojans, keyloggers, spybots, adbots and trackware and all other crap. i clicked on a link about a month ago and some piece of shit has me keylogged. the norton anti virus said it was a trojan virus and blocked it supposedly but it didn't work, because the piece of shit changed my email passwords on me. this is something tenebril found TrojanDropper.Win32 http://www.tenebril.com/src/info.php?id=441846980. i don't know what the fuck a trojan dropper is. i also have ewido security sweep, but zone alarm pro is detecting that my computer is being monitored for key and mouse logs and strokes.

you need to shut your fucking pie hole and stop making assumptions, McAfee is an absolute nightmare to uninstall and you can never completely take it off your system without formatting, I gave up using Norton years ago for the same reason. My father is a computer programmer and he couldn't remove them completely either so I know exactly what I'm talking about.

I wish I was gay. Never ever having to deal with all the retardedness that is women would be worth all the crap people would give me for being gay. But then again, gay guys might have the same problems.

adaware sweeper
zonealarm firewall
i'd also get an antivirus program like Norton if you can. Corporate versions ie no registration are all over the place
get a popup blocker like the google one
if you run mozilla, get the PopupsMustDie extension
keep the Windows patches up to date

i run firewall, popup blocker and antivirus, and i've never had a virus problem in the last 14 years. I had an infected diskette in the early 90's but that boot sector virus didn't even make it onto my pc.

Oh and by the way if you or daddy have any more problem's here is a good tech site learn how to use it,in fact post up and ask them if you can completely remove said problem's http://forums.techguy.org/.

I KNOW alright already, jesus and the saints of collumbus!! Did I say it didn't? No, but I prefer to use EasyCleaner to clean my registry because I think it does a better job. Why am I even explaining this?

I posted to try and help FFOS out, it's advice based on my experience, he can take it or leave it coz I really don't give a shit, end of story.

Agreed. Spybot is the best I've found. The "tea timer" part is resident and makes you acknowledge things like changes to the system registry which is a very good feature.

Dude i think your question has been answered here,as well as some other usefull appys.

I asked, "Best software to detect and remove spyware, adware, malware, trojans, keyloggers, spybots, adbots and trackware and all other crap?????" I don't think of the mentioned are the best. I'm downloading a bunch and trying to see which one is the best but a second opinion is always good.

Thanks for that, definitely good info. Although I can't understand most of it. My head was about to explode reading that stuff. After the 3rd sentence I start to zone out. I have short attention span when it comes to this stuff. I just want to click buttons and have the programs do all the work. :D
