In case anyone missed it b4, how many of you believe upper pec work is very important to developing a fully developed & strong chest?

I remember more than a few members felt it was important.

There was a huge assed bullshit debate on that other sh!ty forum & many members felt upper pec work was not necessary for pectoral development.

I strongly believe in upper pec work out's.

My chest routine is 4 exercises totaling 12 sets

I do flat bench, incline bench or incline db presses, incline flies, either flat db flies, dips or cable crossovers

that shouldnt even be a question if your a bber. the upper peck makes or breaks the chest. without it it just looks like u have lopsided tits.

Lee I agree with you.

But the ppl who started that bs debate stated that the pectoral muscle is simply one muscle & grows as a whole which is why flat bench is enough.

But I don't believe that garbage.

it is two muscles, but the flat bench does hit both the upper and lower pecs i believe with more emphasis on the lower, i think an incline press is enough for upper chest growth though

I can't argue with this.

Although I know a bunch of conceited idiots that would love to argue with you on this one lol.

My chest workouts center around Incline Press @ a 25 degree angle. I don't even bother with flat press anymore, but will hit decline towards the end of the workout

booey

Very interesting.

I always include some sort of incline press, free bar, db's smith machine & so on along with flat bench.

I rotate exercises every 3-4 weeks.

I'm currently doing flat bench 3 sets, 3 sets of incline bench, 3 sets of cross overs but using the bottom pulley's with rope attachments, & 3 sets of dips

imo, it's important for a BBer, but OHP and flat bench is enough as far as sports are concerned.... or say, if you dip and incline.

all about personal preference i guess.
