Okay first off, if you didn't know all males have breasts.. its just ours are not developed like the females.
Anyway heres the story.. a few weeks ago i noticed this lump where one of my nipples is, yesterday i went to the doctors, and today i had the ultrasound. I went back to the doctors and luckily it wasn't cancer but instead i found out my right breast was developing. The dr. said that it was caused becos of something oral im taking, and becos i'm not taking anything apart from protein power, he said it's most likely because of that.
So he has told me to stay off it for a few weeks, and hopefully the lump will go away and not get any bigger. Cos if i stayed on it, and it was the cause, the lump would get bigger and id soon have a woman's breast.
This really fucks me up because i really needed this extra protein. Now getting another 110grams of protein from food is gonna cost heaps.

What kind of protein powder are you taking ? (egg, casein, whey, soy,... ?)

BTW we should (but nobody does) consume a bit of everything, with moderation

just whey ?
it is not supposed to be estrogenic !

Hummmmm - it's called gyno or bitch tits and I'm shocked an OTC supp caused it....anyone else buying this?!

Sounds unlikely to me. If this is fact, I would seek a second opinion. There has been no study (that I am aware of) that has shown this as a side effect of whey. Of course 110 grams of whey a day is a bit much. Eat!

i think your body just has an affinity for high estrogen levels and I can't see how whey would be a by product of that. if your whey had andro and 5 AD in it then I could see the reasoning for you getting a case of gyno.

i think you should find another doctor and get a second opinion and maybe blood work to check your test/estrogen levels. it may be possible to get gyno with large amounts of soy protein but not with whey. do have any history with prohormones or AS? also, is the lump hard or soft? if it is soft you may want to try taking some arimidex and see if shrinks.

Jsut because the doctor said it was your protein powder doesn't make it so. Gyno can happen anytime during a males life and may or may not be cause by medications etc., it could be caused by an underlying physiological problem, including low test levels. If your doctor didn't perform any further tests and just blamed it on whey protein he's an idiot. Likewise, there are many enviromental estrogens that you are exposed to every day and don't ingest that are much more likely to cause estrogen related problems.
