I am new on this board even though I have been reading it for sometime. I have been working out for 3 years now and had lipo 2 years ago and was pleased with the results. I do find that recently when I wake up in the morning my stomach appears very flat and as the day goes on it becomes very bloated. It does not matter how much I eat or what types of food I eat. I am 39, weigh 128 lbs, am 5'7", and my bodyfat is around 22%. My diet is fairly good. I am trying to put on more muscle and lose bodyfat. I just started anavar 1 week ago, 5mg for 2 days and now 10 mg per day, split into two times a day. My diet is pretty clean. I have been told by my gyno that it could be a bowel problem. Does this happen to anyone else?

Does your Dr. recommend dieuretics? I take aldactone and it really helps.

The only dr. I spoke to was a gyno, not a GI Dr. Are those prescriptions and what exactly does a diurectic do ?

Welcome Goldsgrl!

I'm not quite sure that I am understanding your problem. At 22%bf (which is pretty darned good by the way - I like to say, "There's some quality junk in my trunk!") I encounter similar feelings. In the AM, I'm good to go, tummy is flat and it's all good, but by around the 4th meal of the day - I'm feelin' FAT and HAPPY.....my jeans, if I can get into them...are stretched and I feel the need to unbutton the top button. If I train later in the day, obviously, the bulge is not that bad as I will have expended a coupla calories. But if I train in the morning, by about 5PM I feel like a thanksgiving turkey ready for the butcher's block.

As my bodyfat decreases - there is less of me and because I am not bulking I am eating less and I don't encounter this feeling to such a degree. Don't get me wrong, by meal 5 or 6 my little pot belly is full and fine, but the difference is that my full six pack is on top of that bulge.

They are pee pee pills, gold. My Dr. prescribes them for me when I have PMS bloating.

Hello GG, good to have ya posting

First off, I not a big fan of diuretics. Granted, there are certain uses for it. But it is a potentially dangerous substance.

Second, don't be to concerned with daily body weight fluctuations. It happens to everyone.

Third, concentrate on a good solid diet. Look up some of MS's old posts.

Fourth, drink some water, then drink some more. Then, after that, drink a glass or two more.

Fifth. You may in fact be having some bowel "resistance" as I like to call it. A diet rich in proteins will often tend to back you up! Go get some Medimucile (sp?) and take a hit everyday. This really helped the wife when she competed and was eating tones of chicken. And I HAVE to take it regardless.

Hope this helps a tad

The ab thing may have to do with water as well. I have always noticed that my abs (what I can see anymore) look better first thing in the morning, after breakfast and as the day wears on, they tend to blur out. Most likely carb related.

But I'm old now and I don't really give a shit. Besides, I still get laid even without ripped abs

One thing for sure, age and a busy work schedule is the best cure for narcissism.

Lobo and WW hit the nail right on the head. I have the same problem,too. I just started taking Metamucil and I feel so much better-look better, too. I was not getting enough fiber and roughage in my diet. It helped tramendously. Also, drink more water than you think you need to-it helps even more. As far as diuretics go, if you are having a bowel problem, it is my experience that they will only add to it.

Ditto on the diuretics. If you are having bowel problems, avoid them. Oatmeal and a couple servings of raw or mildly steamed vegetables should help along with plenty of water. Maintain a normal sodium intake. If you are up some days and low on others, you'll soften up on a regular basis. Sodium restriction is only necessary 36 hrs out from a show, even then it shouldn't be total restriction.
