Sure, we all have lofty goals and per the IG post, most of us even have a solid plan of attack for the next 6 mo. HOWEVER, I thought it would be good for us to post a few things that have NOT helped in reaching them goles.... A confessional if you will. Naturally I'll go first.

Today I had a big fat donut. Yes, it was good. And yes, it was painfull - just a few min ago I returned from the can and I think I'm going to need a rolaid to boot.

AND, the night before last, I woke up around 3:00am and instead of eating my normal night snack of good food/protein drink, I wolfed down a P&J sandwich with a big glass of milk - now that was some good fricking eating.

So lets hear it all you bad apples out there

HHHmmmmmm, since we are baring our souls. About 3 weeks before my last show since I was losing bf so well I had a mental lapse and decided that I could afford to be a little less careful. So I ate some sugar-free icepops. How many you ask? Enough to keep me from losing ANY bf WHATSOEVER in the following week! So there I was 3 weeks out from a show that had already had the date MOVED UP 2 weeks and my bf ain't moved diddly-do! So to compensate instead of just sucking it up and dieting hard, I barely ate enough to stand upright and gave up two precious pounds of lean mass. There I was 5 days out at 11%. To make matters even WORSE to compensate for this lack of discipline with diet a few weeks earlier and now having 2 pounds LESS LBM (which for a liteweight means A LOT) I sucked SO much water out of my body (cause when you suck water out, you lose minerals as well) that I felt so sick the day of comp I bout wanted to die! I felt hung over and just plain sick. My posing was off because I was shaking and dizzy. And the BIG FAT CHERRY on top was the BIG ASS MOTHERFUCKER of A CRAMP that I got in my glute that ran down my hamstring which had me limp off stage, falling to the floor in tears.

Moral of the story - Don't do stupid stuff to play catch-up! Ladies and Gentlemen what is THE MOST important muscle in our bodies? That's right - the heart. What if it had been my heart and not my ass that cramped up while they were handing me my trophy? I'd of been dead, but at least I'd have that trophy to show for my effort!

Oh God, for the last six weeks I have eaten everything from prime rib to cotton candy and sat on my ass while I was doing it. The miracle is that my body didn't change a whole lot over that six weeks - if I had lost all this fat the way I used to, cardio and starve I would have packed on at least 15 lbs in that time frame but the scale and my strength levels are the same as when I went on my little vacation so there is alot to be said for doing this the right way.

My birthday just passed, so of course there is this wonderful cake in my fridge, and i've had a piece almost everyday since the weekend. I hope it disappears or gets moldy soon, cause' i just can't hold back. I'm training for my first fitness competition, and i can see already that sweets are going to try to kick my ass.

This is a fun thread.. all ive been eating is pure crap!! Woohoooo!!! I'm talking pudding, ice cream, cheese, white bread, fried chicken, and yes, CHEETOS! And I really don't give a damn right now.. Im not supposed to start dieting until the beginning of next year, and as long as I stay within a 5 pound range, I just dont care. Weird things is, I havent gained any bodyfat, my abs are hard, and Im stronger than ever.

Body Opus fucked me up.
If I remember correctly I did lose about 7 pounds over the course of about a month, but had sides similar to my first anavar cycle. My m-cycle went berzerk: my energy levels were sporadic: I had mood swings: and worst of all, it got to a point where I couldn't eat anything that didn't just make me ill after actually abandoning the diet. ...took me at least another month or so to recover.

Now, I'm just eating responsibly and not counting calories. Yes, there's even a little junk in there (including the Rainbo sherbet float I had last night to coddle a sore throat, subsequent to a Wendy's double classic). Measured my BF yesterday and I'm not gaining any fat (boobs are looking a bit saggy to boot), but the scales are definately up as you saw in my 6-month goal post.

There is no measure to the benefits of patience and humility ... damn my patience is running thin.

Since we are confessing.

My son's 21st B-day yesterday so I had to indulge. Had Imperial Rice which is Yellow Rice stuffed with Shredded chicken, mayonaise and topped off with melted Mozzarella Cheese, Fried ripe plaintains, Mozzarella sticks, Diet Soda and a slice of Butter frosting Cake for dinner and to make matters worse had a Blueberry muffin around 10:00 am. this morning.

Can anyone say "Guilt"

I've been having a terrible time with my diet lately...I eat well a few days then eat terribly...Its been happening for the last month and a half...scale isn't up much and bf hasn't changed but I just don't like the way it makes me FEEL!! My exuse? None...just stress eating. I know I'm eating enough, I'm not hungry when I eat like crap...its a bad case of self sabatoge I think. Weird stuff. I wish I didn't do that.

I am a bartender so my weaknesses are Colorado Bulldogs(I try to compensate by using skim milk for mine instead of cream) and Fat Tire beer(which mostlikely is a good part of the cause of the 'spare tire' I'm getting).

I also bartend, Colorado Bulldogs rule. I've been pretty good this week, but I have a date on Monday and am making crab cakes, gumbo and chocolate mousse for dessert. Hey Warlobo, just to let you know, every time sugar comes near me I think "White death." The same person I am seeing on Monday actually puts a little sugar in her water to improve the taste, I have to bite my lip from lecturing her.

I've been doing very well on my diet.

But, last night I thought I would have some
pure fruit juice. Well, if I only had a small glasss it would of been OK. But, I had about 3 glass. I feel like I have a hang over this morning. Why do we do the things we do????

I feel like I was two steps ahead, now I feel like I am 5 steps behind.

WOW ya'll. I don't feel so bad now. I was feeling guilty for having a bit of pasta at noon today instead of that tuna on a bed of lettuce that I had planned. Supposed to take a few photos in a few weeks so I've been behaving myself for the past couple weeks. My sweety wants to go to dinner tonight and I'm feeling apprehensive, but know that a happy home is often more important than abs. Well, usually. Biggest weakness is dining out. Guess I'll give in tonight and maybe even get a little pre-meal 'workout'!! Gotta make up for those extra calories somehow!!

Yesterday I went out to a mexican resturant and had a big pile of cheese soaked nachos. YUM, YUM! Unfortunately, my employer insists on keeping 3 or 4 bags of some kind of chocolate (esp. Almond Joy)in the fridge. I devour 1 to 2 of them a day around noon, though. Also, my boyfriend is on his bulking cycle and can eat anything he wants and does right in front of me. I know this is an old thread but, I wanted to share some news with all of you because I believe that you care and some will actually support my choice. In my posts on this thread, I explained that I like to drink-I have even gone as far on other threads as to question if my love of beer and other alcoholic beverages are part my 'downfall'in my bf% and wt gain!?? Anyway, I'm here to admit that I was being foolish and the amount I had been drinking was definitely affecting me in those and other ways. What I am trying to say is I decided to get serious about my health and my body and quit drinking. I haven't touched a drop of any kind of alcohol in 7 days! Trust me for me, that is quite an accomplishment! I am proud of myself. My other friends think I am crazy and are constantly trying to push it-they don't realize the importance of this to me and a healthy, well-toned body. The attitude is one or two isn't going to hurt-well maybe not, but for me-it will for now. I 'm sharing this info with you because I know that some of you will support my decision
and encourage me. Also, I want to apologize for being so half-assed on this board. I am totally serious and totally committed to making my body the very best temple it can be. I know that the rest of you are serious and don't care much for half-assed wannabe's. I respect you all and hope that you will forgive my foolishness. Thanks for listening-sorry so long-winded. Just had to get it off my chest to someone who I believe does care and understand. -Love to all of you!-WIH

WW, BMom, and Plato-Thank you for your support and encouragement! 9 days and counting! I'm thinking it would be wise for me to choose another job also. Working as a bartender isn't exactly the atmosphere I need to be in. I haven't really had a strong urge to drink but my whole attitude has changed. When I worked last night, many of the men told me I seem alot happier and bubbly. One's exact words were "You look like the cat that swallowed the canary-what's up?" I told him I quit drinking and I have never felt better, already! Of course at my response, EVERY one of them laughed and said 'Yeah, I quit for 7 hrs one time'-all the way to 6 mos. 'You will give in!' Well, I don't want to 'give in' and I won't 'give in'. I am new woman!-Hear me roooaarrrr!

WIH,

Keep it up, booze will greatly slow down your progress. It's tough to get out of the scene, but you will be glad in the long run. 10 years for me.

JL- that's right, Tuna bites.... there's finally some relief with canned Turkey and Chicken on the market

Cheating is so nice in the winter

One big long cheat- 10 weeks on, followed by 8 weeks maintenance, then back to the grind / guilt if I cheat.

Blu and everyone-thank you!!! It has been 30 days for me today!!! I feel so much better and have accomplished more in this last 30 days than I have in probably the last 5 years!!! I am SO happy for all of that. My body is coming along pretty nicely. I'm working alot, so not getting to spend as much time at the gym as I would like but I'm repairing some of the damage that I've done over the last 5 years other than the last year and a half to my body. So I still feel I am accomplishing alot. My boyfriend-well X now didn't seem to care for the changes-he's lost the control he use to have, I guess. I spent 3 years with him and love him to death but I'm learning to love myself again and being treated so bad just kept me down. Well, enough, just wanted to let everyone know-30 DAYS and counting! Please keep praying or whatever for me. Your support means alot to me. I get on here everyday to read the posts. I don't know any of you personally, but you are family to me. Love to all!!!
