okay, I'm on my very first building cycle and I'm following IG's advise. I'M EATING BIG TIME. Three weeks in and I don't see anything dramatic: nothing is anymore ripped or bulging than usual. But the damned pants are getting tight: the scales are up about 8-10#! This is really challenging all of my old do's and don'ts. So anyway, I'm in the gym this morning (faithfully at 5 fuk'n 30) and it's leg day. I'm tired and this morning's oatmeal is stuck in my throat and threatening an advance. YUK!

I'm finishing up my cardio (post-workout) and as I'm walking past an older gal on the eliptic she says, "how much weight have you lost?" I tell her that I'm actually up about 8# and she says "I typically don't really care, but I notice that you've really changed in through here (indicating my hips and ass!). You're lookin' really good."

Best workout I've had in months

So anyway, I just wanted to let you know that we all have those same frustrations
...and sometimes it's just because youre looking in the wrong place for feedback.

I actually have noticed my body changing recently, but I can't believe that someone as petite as me can eat 1800 calories w/o gaining weight. I'm 5 ft 2 inches tall and have a small body frame.

I think I'm just not used to looking or feeling muscley. I've always been really thin, but never have been fit...do you know what I mean?
My legs look nice, I've received many compliments. Arms are well defined, boobs shrunk a bit(still a B though), upper tummy has shrunk(never been tighter), but my lower tummy has never been as big as it is right now.

Why am I carrying more fat their than ever?

Overall - I wanted to thank everyone for their responses.
