It was a Dr.s recommendation to a patient, and I was hoping that you all could tell me what you know about how it REALLY works. Any personal experiences out there???

Jaye-For me it did not work. I tried it when it first came out because it was free for me, and it did not decrease my appetite. So far nothing has worked as well as phentermine for curbing my hunger. I have also had two friends try it . Same result.
I guess it works for some people and not for others

ps I am on the phetermine now.

Thanks Tnhey. I did a little more research on the web ysterday and learned that it is supposed to work by altering the levels of norepinepherine and seratonin, and is classified as an appetite suppresent. All of the current diet drugs are in that same category with the exception of one: Xenical, which is supposed to inhibit fat absorbtion in the intestions.
The person I have in mind has a long standing tendency to not eat enough, so I thought the Dr.s recommendation seemed inappropriate. She got her blood work done yesterday, so hopefully that will shed some answers.
