(This is a post I made on the Anabolics board, but I think it pertains to anyone who hits it hard and consistently as it deals with the waxing and waning of motivation... so I brought it over here to the Womens board, hope you dont mind.) This came at just the right time, while I was feeling down and tired. I was rooting around in some old boxes of junk and came across a training journal from a few years back. Comparing weights then to weights now gave me a new appreciation of how far Ive come. Heres a few that picked me up...
Barbell Row: Angle Leg Press Calf Raise: Alternating Dumbell Curls: ...and on and on. Now this may sound like just a bragging post, but its more than that.

Exactly. I thought I had tried every motivational trick around, but I feel almost "reborn"! I hate to belabor the point, but this has had such an effect on me!!!

I've kept a training log since day 1. It's so important to go back and be able to see how far you've come and if you've met any of your goals. ------------------

I've always believed this should be done in combination with a few photos taken every so often. It's so amazing when you put them into "time lapse" order and YOU CAN SEE YOURSELF improve. Good stuff M ------------------ Lobo

WarLobo, thats one of my greatest regrets. The only picture I have of myself is at about 180-190lbs. I wish I would have taken others to watch the progression. At 260lbs now, Im kicking myself in the ass for not taking pictures when I was near 300! |
