I think there is a window of opportunity when a woman cant get pregnant and I dont mean when she is on the rag. I am pretty sure it is either right before or right after the period. Care to enlighten me women?

I would have to say that it probably doesn't exist. ....just kidding, but I would be leary of the 'just before' since tubal pregnancies do occur. I can't remember exactly, but I think I conceived just after: I just can't remember exactly how close it was. If youre having unprotected sex, than it's all a gamble.

A woman usually gets pregnant 10-14 days after the first day of her menstrual cycle..

Unless the woman works like a clock - you NEVER know. The onset of her menstrual cycle is not necessarily an indicator of when she can become pregnant, couple that with the fact that sperm can live outside of the man's and inside the woman's body for (I believe) 6 - 9 days (I can't remember EXACTLY anymore) and it would seem that one would be wise to use contraception. How do I know this? All but one of my children was conceived with the use of Chlomid - I got to know REAL WELL!

Nothing is 100% for sure superdave...If you don't want to be a parent, ALWAYS use protection. And even birth control isn't 100% so....

There are estimates of "fertile time" and "not so fertile" but the female body is a screwy thing...unpredictable.
