I AM TAKING A BODY SCULPTING CLASS (I STARTED LAST NIGHT) THE PERSONAL TRAINER IS EXCELLENT TEACHER. ON TUESDAYS WE DO AND HOUR OF UPPER BODY WORK, THEN THURSDAYS WE WILL DO LOWER BODY WORK. THE OTHER 3 DAYS ARE FOR CARDIO (30 MINS) LAST NIGHT ABOUT KILLED ME! I AM SO USED TO LIFTING HEAVY, LOW REPS. SHE HAD US DOING LOW WEIGHTS AND HIGH REPS, NO LESS THE WERE KINDA FAST BUT SHE MADE SURE WE ALL HAD THE FORMS RIGHT FIRST. THIS COURSE IS FOR 6 WEEKS SO I AM GIVING IT A TRY TO SPICE THINGS UP A BIT. NO LESS IT IS FREE FOR ME. SO DO YOU THINK I WILL BENEFIT FROM TAKING THIS CLASS FOR THE NEXT 6 WEEKS? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Please use lower case my ears are ringing from all your yelling And as for your class it will only work if you use it in conjunction with the new grape fruit and cottage cheese diet. j/k I really don't think you need to do any more cardio. In my opinion Those high rep "sculpting" classes are total bullshit and apeal to gullible newbies trainees, ask your instructer just how he is going to go about "sculpting" your muscle. ------------------ IP: Logged |

IG, I was told that the class will make me firm muscles but slim me down too. And it is a lady trainer. You should see her she is built like your lady, but no so big. SHe is awesome. and the cardio is only 3 day a week that isnt too much, is it? IP: Logged |

Dlady - I did sculpting classes for years and have gotten NO WHERE near the results I've gotten with heavy lifting. Also the shape of the instructor is not an indicator of how effective the class is. I do think its good to change it up...but I think honestly you need to stick with the muscle building routing for longer, get the eating down etc. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Lets look at this sculpting thing.... First you START with a BIG ass chunk of mass that is carefully trimmed and honed to proper proportions. You can't go the other direction. You can't start with nothing and gain muscle by sculpting. (This is not to say you don't already have something.) Napalm -------->>>>> And to top it all off I give you a fricking plan that I would charge about $200 for free - you even admit to having great results and now you want to dump it after only a few weeks!?!?!? I don't know. Maybe I just like to play devils advocate, but I built not too bad a physique doing nothing more than circuits and pump classes for many years (and aerobic activity too). I think it depends on where you're starting from, and for me NOW, it would be a step backwards for my physique. But if you're just starting out with weights and are willing to put 110% into every session (go as heavy as you can even though it's still 'light') and pay strict attention to form, I think it could be good for 6 weeks. Especially good to have someone watching your form so when you move back to heavier weights you can be sure you're doing it properly. Just make sure you understand that this is a 'beginners' course, and don't get hooked on it as a lifestyle. Eventually you'll want to move back to heavier weight training. IP: Logged |

WARLOBO, I am not going to quit it all together just for a few weeks to give things a pump to "shock" my muscles. And yes, it is more like a pump class, we do heavy and light weights, i use 3 different sets of weight, so that I wont lose my form on the exercises. Please dont be upset, I am still using your plan believe me! Since I started that damn "death plan" I have had nothing but good things said to me, (I am getting a big head) so I wont quit using it! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Why a sculpting class? Why not stay with the weights and just go a little lighter (12 - 15 rep range) and superset, drop set, giant set - let me tell you - YOU WILL PERSPIRE and YOU WILL WISH YOU WERE DEAD! I can not go heavy now that I have been dieting for a few weeks - SCUKS 'cause I just started to get really strong - anyway, I've lost some bf (the #s on the scale haven't really changed all that much but that's fine because I still have almost 10 weeks till I compete. I'm at 123 and I have to get down to 113 to compete as a lightweight - I would get eaten alive as a middleweight! - anyway since I didn't get too heavy during bulking weight loss is not my main focus. I have to maintain as much mass as possible while leaning - so I have to do this kind of slowly at first then as I get closer to competition - BANG! KICK IT! - anywhere that's where I am with that - anyone have any advice - BRING IT ON!) not a whole lot, but just enough to have my clothing fit differently, I can see I've lost a bit in my face and I've lost enough from around my joints n' stuff to necessitate a change in my training. Does this mean that I am going to back off the weights and take "sculpting" classes instead? HELL NO! My body is just telling me that I need to change the way I train in order to avoid injury. I take spin and kick-boxing for my cardio. But the cornerstone of my training was, is, and God-willing always will be THE WEIGHTS!! If I were you Dlady - I'd listen to Lobo - no shit - I had to pay a decent amount of money for the nutrition and training advice that I received in preparation for my first show ($ well-spent because otherwise I would have majorly floundered). I know you're not competing, but the advice is valid and valuable just the same. ..just my .02 IP: Logged |

Dlady, I looked over that plan WL setup for you and it is SOLID. Why on earth would you want to try something different at this stage in your training you asked an expert for advice and you got an expert plan! I am detecting a disturbing patern in you.... Let Iron God break it down for nice and simple.. Do as you are advised on this board and you will make good progress, don't do it and you probably won't.

I would say the gains & losses you would make from lobos plan would make the people in your b.s.(no pun intended..Bodysculpting-bullshit)class envious....I say the class is a waste of time- stick with warlobos plan & results will come...you havent been on the program long enough to stop & "shock your muscles" as you put it.... DL, why on earth would you ask all this advice on a routine sing its praises and then announce your trying this new class? You couldn't have possibly stuck with WL's plan for any length of time. At first, I didn't get Iron God's mental fortitude thing when I read it on the other post. I figured live and let live but when you ask for advice, say how great its doing and even post pictures to endorse it then announce your new class....I have to agree that you probably are still searching for the quick fix. ****...Bodybuilding is a lifestyle...its not a diet, or a certain class, or even a set of exercises. It's the way you learn to live and you take baby steps but eventually if the the mix is correct end up with a shapely, healthy mind and body. This is not a flame, really, understand that I would love for results to happen overnight but if they did EVERYONE would look like Monica or Gunther! IP: Logged |

Ripchick, you can judge me along with Jl all you want on here, I am not giving up on WARLOBO's plan, I know he had to put alot of thought and effort into that plan for me, and I am grateful for it. And who are YOU to say I havent stuck to his priogram, in one months time since he gave it to me , everyone can tell a difference in me, in some way or another. I will not quit doing his plan right now, I said this up above, if you would have read thru all the posts, all right! And the "quick fix" idea went away about 4 months ago. I enjoy lifting now, not for comp. but just to better myself, so I will NEVER look like FC nor do I want too, ( not flamming FC) Although, she does give me motivation to work towards certain goals I have set for myself.
