![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hear a lot about having higher calorie cheat meals/days and just wanted to get and idea of what you all do with this....I tend to go wayyyyy overboard if I actually plan a cheat meal/day unless I know that I'm say going to a birthday party or something. How important is to have cheat days? ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have officially had my last cheat meal! We went out for pizza yesterday and had two pieces - don't know what I was thinking! Every time I do the whole cheat meal thing it makes me REALLY SICK - screaming diahrea, bloating, cramps, nausea so I am done, NO MORE! The closest I am coming to a cheat is maybe a pepsi but this whole greasy food thing is just not worth it! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheat meals are great reminders of what sorry foods do to your feeling of well being. If you need reminding go for it. Sometimes I'll drink beer, enough to catch a buzz, and thats about as exciting as it gets for me. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I use cheat meals as a way to keep my metabolism boosted. So I set myself limits on what a cheat meal is allowed to contain. In a word, CARBS. I'll eat pasta most of the time, fat-free ice cream with hersheys choc sauce, and sometimes truckloads of sushi or mashed potatoes. I keep the salt and fat to a minimum so I don't blow-up or get the runs. This also happens to be what my body craves most, so it's still a very satisfying cheat. And I don't cheat if I don't need to. Early on in a diet my body just doesn't feel the need, so I don't do it. But as the fat comes off I increase the frequency of cheats. The trick is to go as long as I can between cheats, but to take them when I REALLY need them. Of course this requires listening carefully to you body.... IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry guys, but I still very much enjoy my cheat meals. I don't give myself whole cheat days, just a meal every now and then. I plan mine around my leg workouts. Today was legs for me, so last night I had a DELICIOUS cheat meal that consisted of: Chili Burger, curly fries, orange soda and sm. vanilla ice cream cone covered in chocolate sprinkles. Then today leg press, pyramid up to 1,040, total of over 100 reps ![]() IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() To cheat is to live, unless you're really trying to get lean. Oreo blizzards made with chocolate ice cream and extra oreos. MMMMMMM I get light headed just thinking about them. I also like ribs, or Mexican. I tend to have 1 cheat day per week. For my next cutting phase I'll keep the cheat stuff to bagels, cold cereal, low fat dairy, and see if I get quicker results from not going hog wild. I'll also alternate e/c/a with clen 2 weeks each for 6 weeks. Start with clen and end with clen. Wish me luck. WW IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I usually have a cheat meal every 10 days. When I get to have this very special meal that keeps me sane I usually do Mexican or Italian food. I stay away from dairy, like ice cream, so for my sweet fix I usually do donuts. After my cheat day meal, the next day I eat no carbs which really sucks, so sometimes I feel it's not even worth cheating. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just cheated on Friday. Best food imaginable--sushi and (agreeing with MS) truckloads of it. Sashimi and well, every kind of roll ETC.....I try and steer clear of the fried ingredients in the rolls.....yummy! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I forgot to mention that when I get cravings for fats (usually when I dip below 10% bf) I indulge my cravings. But I can tell if it's a 'legit' craving versus just an urge to eat yummy pizza by the foods I crave. When an (unsalted) almond or cashew is worth killing for, I know I really need it. If I want it because it's salty and looks good on TV, I just say no. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think its cheating if you eat what you want but just eat a little bit. If you eat crappy and stuff your gut, thats another matter. I see people at work eveyday nibble on lees than wholesome foods and stay thin as a rail. How is Sushi and Lasagna cheating? Not all what I read above sounds that bad, or maybe a grey area. Even if you eat healthy but if its too much that in effect is not good either.
