hehe...

Just a little thought passing my mind...do any of the clothes designers out there realize that not all of us are 5'10 and resemble a stilt? I mean, I've given up buying jeans...I can wear shorts and skirts fine...jeans are just too frustrating to shop for. I mean, if they fit in the waist, they are way too tight in the thighs...and if they fit in the thighs...my gosh, they are like a size 10 or something! Anyone ever thought about starting a clothing line for buff chicks? I hate it because it seems whenever I NEED clothes, I can never find any that fit right and look good! Also, in some things, I feel like I just look way too muscular, not that i'm complaining...I'm definately not giving up my workouts for the sake of looking "average"! hehe

A special line of clothes would be a treat, but I suspect the market would be sooo small that the prices would have to be high. Plus buff chicks are all different sizes and shapes. But you're right about the jeans. I'll never be able to wear them again! Guys jeans fit a little better, but still not ideal.

I live in the gym, have two very active boys, I live in sweats....

Jean shopping does suck. Always tight in the hamstring area. HotBodz clothing company out of Edgewater Fl has nice clothes. They specialize in casual clothing for BBs. I'm told that soon you'll be able to get their stuff (women's --men's line is already available)on their web site. Don't have the address in front of me but when I find it I'll post it.

best jeans....abercrombie & fitch. they come in waist and length sizes, flare leg, straight leg, blah, blah, blah. all the styles women love.

I hate trying on jeans. My hips are like 8 inches wider than my waist (thanks to my Italian heritage) so it really sucks. Jeans are ALWAYS to big in the waist and snug in the hip/thigh area. O-well belts usually help, but if they are designed without a beltloop i'm SOL. missgalaxy

The only jeans I can wear are the hiphugger kind - otherwise same problem...too big in the waist, tight everywhere else. Though I recently bought a couple of pairs of flat-front dockers (of all things) that fit really well in the waist and are comfortable everywhere else. Give those a try. Their shorts are good too. I don't pay attention to sizes anymore...since I can try two of the EXACT same thing in the EXACT same size and each fits differently.

I usually look like a sausage in jeans...the legs are too tight, my waist is too small so the back sticks out.....I hate winter & fall for that reason.

Here is what we've finally had to do. get the pair of geans that fit you legs eht way you want...don't worry about the waste size. Go to just about any dry cleaner and heve them take in the size of the waste to fit nicly. They are usually not expensive at all.

Oh, one other thing... My wife needs three sizes of jeans, compition size, normal size, and bulking size.... Sheesh, what ever savings on gear (as compaired to my costs) she more than makes up in her clothing expenses.

I just buy the big 36" 560's by Levi's wear a belt and call it good.

You guys are funny!
Fitnesschick, I love the "sausage" comment! I think i'm going to invent a line of jeans...with the label of "Musclebutt" or something like that...hehe..."for those of us with hard-as-a-rock ghetto booties!"

Baggies look awful on me - they are step away from mumus! I lose all of my hard earned shape...I'll stick with the shorts, skirts and what pants I can find that look decent. But thanks for the suggestion, non the less Mr M!

Believe it or not I find clothes fit me best at children's clothing stores - I'm only 5'5" and somewhat short-wasted. I used to be a children's size 12 I'm now up to between a 14 and 16 or 3 - 7 JR. I know this sounds unbelievable but I recently went shopping for clothes to fit my "grown-up-hard-as-rock-ghetto-booty" and could not find one thing that even REMOTELY fit. I tried Gap, Limited, Express - and if it fit in the legs and seat - WAY TOO BIG in the waste. I could't get the zipper up because now my back is too wide to accomodate dresses that fit (kind of) if the waste and hips. I was so depressed! I'm thinking, "DAMN, am I going to have to spend the rest of my life in sweats?" I have really nice yoga pants and the like but you can't exactly wear this to your cousin Gertrude's wedding.

So I wandered over to Limited Too (A children's clothing store) and believe it or not, I found pants, shorts, tops - you name it and it fit! What does this mean? I know I don't look like a little kid - so how come their clothes fit me? Does this have anything to do with how much mass we as women truly do rob our bodies of in our quest for skinny? I'm no scientist - what do you all think?
