"good" is a gray area as you will get varying input from all sectors ranging from 22% to ?9%. My experience is that 12% is the generally accepted marker today. Concerns with going lower revolve around hormone production, as a woman will not properly produce estrogen at BF%'s that are 'too low'. I think that it also true that your body will need an adjustment period when coming from high BF% to low and I see that you have been dropping BF rather quickly. Be mindful of how you feel: you are the best judge of how it is all working. Besides, you may need a little extra time to let the skin shrink back up. IP: Logged |

My ideal %bf is what looks best in the mirror. But that may not help you. To look buff and maintain good health I think somewhere between 12 and 16% is good. Up to 20% is still very healthy, just not nice and lean looking. But a lot of guys still think the old 'Marilyn Monroe' look is very sexy, and she was no lean machine! IP: Logged |
