If you are trying to cut the BF, I would go about 1 gram of carbs for every pound of body weight. You need carbs not only for energy but to make your brain function, so less than .75 to 1 gram of carbs is cutting it pretty thin. Also try and consume these carbs before 3pm. If you work out in the morning adjust that time. But if you work out in the evening, eating the carbs before 3pm should get them all out of yor system before you go to sleep. Make sure that you do comsume some carbs after your workout to rebuild your glycogen reserves and shuttle the protein to the cells. For your body weight I would suggest about 35-40 grams of a 50/50 mix of high and low glycemic carbs. I hope this helps.

Personally I saw your pictures and you look great. Just from my experience, when I added a little lean muscle mass, the extra fat melted off me. Do you weight train? Keep in mind that your weight may stay the same but as you add muscle mass it's going to burn the excess fat.

ps. Read about my success on the board weightloss vs bodyfat.
Good Luck!

At 5'8 110Lbs you need to put on muscle no reason a women with at your height who claims to have a low body fat should weigh 110lbs or if are that weight you should ripped to the bone. Depending on your structure you should be 135 to 150 and you could carry that weight easy send. Fitness Chick should be able to you send her your measurements so she could get and idea of what you look like and your proportions.

Blackhaus I have seen some of your pictures and you are very beautiful. My question is what weight are you looking to get down to. At 5'8 110 you don't have a whole lot to spare. Is your goal to model professionally for these big name designers. If that is the case chances are the advice you get here will not work.

Did you read my post. It should do the trick. As for protein intake about 1-1.5 grams per pound of body weight per day.

Blackhaus if I wer you i would go to about 1600 calories a day. With about 200 grams of carbs, 125 grams of protein and 36 grams of fat. I would keep all my protein from lean sources like chicken, egg whites, fish and protein powder. Try to consume your carbs with your protein. Keep your fat from sources like flax oil (high lignan). Use this as a base if you begin to hold water or start to look a little puffy lower the carbs and bring up the protein. Good luck hope the diet works for you.

Okay girlfriend,here we go.
1st, prioritize your protein. Meaning that you should make sure you get your protein before anything else. For example, if your having chicken breast salad and rice, eat the chicken 1st. Make sure you are getting at LEAST 1-2 g of protein per pound of mass. For you I would go even higher because you're on the lean side to begin with. As far as carbs are concerned if you stick with clean sources with minimal additions I.E. sauces condiments etc. you should do well. Please know that carbs fuel the furnace made of protein that burns the fat.Make sense? Second what kind of workout are you doing? For the kind of goal you have (which I beleive is lean mass building) I might go with a 2-3 exercises per body part at 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. If you really want to build mass try the 5x5 workout method. Meaning 5 sets of 5 reps as heavy as you can. Stick with basic compound exercises and get plenty of rest. Pyramiding up of course. Don't forget the water, mulit vitamins and minerals, and cardio. To maintain your leaness I would stick with 3, 30 mins sessions per week. Any more and you will lose muscle. If you have a specific weight, contest,or event that you arre preparing for we need to know that. BTW I am 5'9" and weigh about 180 @ about 17%bf. My last cycle was primo/winny and was very successful albeit, short. Hope this helps. Please know that in order to give more specific instructions we need more specific info from you. Let us know if we can help you any more.

I've been avoiding replying to this post because I thought you were asking us for a weight-loss diet, and I wasn't gonna oblige someone at your height and weight (you don't need to lose weight). But now it sounds like you want to gain muscle while losing fat? Wouldn't we all!!! With the exception of someone with a high %bf (RedHot when she started as an example) you really are asking for the holy grail of bodybuilding. I could give you a very good muscle-building diet, OR a very good fat-loss diet, but you really need to pick one and run with it IMHO. And of course I'm biased like RedHot-it's soooo much easier to lose fat and keep it off long term is you have a bit of muscle on ya.

I know that's not the answer your looking for, and if you still want to go ahead with a fat-loss diet, then Wonderwomen's plan is a good on, though depending on your activity level it could be a bit high in calories. We're all no doubt assuming you're doing cardio and weight training?
