I started a new job where I am not up and running around all the time. The dreaded office job where you sit at a desk!!!

What are some of your snack ideas to keep on hand here so that I don't starve to death, but don't gorge myself with chocolate. It seems I am back to 3 meals a day and my metabolism is snoring some serious ZZZZZZ's.

HELP!!!!

Mrs. TG

I drink 1L of Skim milk as a snack every morning. Have you ever tasted evaporated Skim milk (in cans)? The taste is surprising and the protein/carb proprtion is good.

bananas, baby carrots, apples, turkey slices. Also you can get at most supermarkets these tuna snacks w/crackers that give you 20g of protein. I usually bring those for my afternoon snack since I have the office, sit on my ass, job too.

Yeah those little tuna snacks are handy! Protein bars, protein shakes. Prepare some stuff at night, chicken, turkey, veggies, low fat/fat free cheese. Keep the meals frequent to keep your body up and awake

I have a container of quaker oats and a case of tuna in my file cabinet. 30 seconds in the nuke for the oats: add the tuna (and maybe some oil if you need to raise your fats). ...I suppose some would define that as an eating disorder.

hummus and veggies, fruit topped with a bit of yogurt and granola, make a big batch of marinated veggies on the weekend and bring to snack on (throw in some chicken if you want), container of oatmeal is a great idea, my new favorite is soy nuts, a bit of peanut butter and apple, of course protein shakes (they save me from my sweet tooth sometimes)
