I have been training seriously for about 5 years. Done a few AS cycles, nothing real heavy, you could describe my cycles as moderate. The body I had 5 years ago compared to what I have now is like night and day. My calves and quads have always been my strongest bodypart. - Genetics I guess. My training partner has competed in several amatuer NPC shows. He is trying to convince me to start shaving my arms, legs etc. I've never done this before. What are your opinions on this? Do you prefer shaven or non-shaven?

Well, If you do shave it will definitely help to show off you muscularity. However, unless you are going to compete I won't even think about it.

Once you start shaving you will have to keep doing it to be stubble free and the hair will come in darker and thicker. If that's something you can live with then by all means do it.

I think stubble on the chest and legs looks rather unattractive.

Just my .02

Actually shaving doesn't make hair grow back thicker...according to my dermatologist anyway. Its a fallacy.

Shaving is personal preference really - I like the look of shaved legs, chest etc...it is high maintenance though. And your girl will have to put up with stubble.

Shave.

PS The thicker darker thing..yup heard it was a fallacy as well. I was told that the size of the hair is determined way beneath the skin in the follicle. Since shaving can't increase the number of follicles you have it cannot increase the size or numbers of hairs...or else all the bald people out there would be buying up razors and shaving their heads over and over and over to grow more hair. :P

Shaven is better. I was kinda leery at first when I met my fiancee (he shaves everything). Now I couldn't imagine feeling that hair all the time. I will admit though, now I know how all of the men feel when us women have stubble.

SHAVE SHAVE SHAVE!!! A man with everything shaved is so nice, plus it makes you look bigger, more cut, and for me the fact of just the cleaner feeling is worth it just itself. I'm a female and shave, have now shaved my arms for years and I don't know how I ever went w/o shaving just my arms? Its so gross to have hair on them!

Definitely shave!

Used to shave, what a pain in the ass. I guess its for the young guys. It does make you look more cut especially if you are tan. But I'm fat and white now so it wouldn't matter.

Well, i've always looked at it like this, I like going down on a chick that is clean shaven. Nothing like given a chick the old tongue and suck method. I haven't had a chick with a full on "bush" in...well...a long time, and I don't know what I would do if I encountered this again.

That being said, there is nothing better than a chick givin' ya head either. It makes it more enjoyable for them, and because of this, they will do it more often. This should be a good enough reason as it is. The smooth skin thing is pretty cool.
Now, if I could just find a way to stop them damn red bumps/burns on my chest.....

Dammnit! I thought this was another one of those "Do you shave your ...." questions. I was way off topic I guess, or at least way of bodyparts.

Anyway, same applies for the rest of the body as well. I've been shaven since I was a junior in high svhool (17). It just makes everything look so much better and leaner.

Shave!!! It makes your cuts come out nicely and all in all, it looks better. Feels nicer too. To get rid of those red bumps and the irritation, try tanning, a product called Tend Skin (stings but works) or using Neutrogenia's Body Wash in the shower. Should none of those work, stop shaving and start using a different method. You could try waxing or go under the laser if you have cash.

I shave almost every square inch of my body except for my head. In the wintertime though I slack off on the legs though. Like bikinimom said, who wants to see a muscular HAIRY man. They whole darker and thicker myth is bullcrap also. If that was the case people with thinning hair could just shave their head a few times and have a full head of hair. It seems that way but it's just because the hair follicles appear thicker when they first come thru the skin...

from one dude to another. Shave it off. I keep my legs shaved and women love it. At first they don't know what to think, but after rubbing against it for awhile all but one has told me they like it better and to keep shaving. Like everybody else has said it makes the muscle tone show so much more. Try it, I bet you'll like the results.

The only hair is on my head bro. Gillette mach 3 and a can of shave gel. Twice a week for me. Rather time consuming and honestly a pain but it's worth it. The bigger you get the more area you must cover.
