Well thanks for the reply. Good to know I'm not the only one who reads it. I would really appreciate hearing what you think of the program. The first week I tried it I thought I was going to die. (then again I had just taken a couple/three weeks off 'cuz I was just WAY too busy with jobs, holidays, etc so I was sort of a slacker by then) Now that I'm into it for the second week it just seems like the work-outs go forever! I figure if nothing else it's something a bit different than my usual workouts so it gets me out of my rut for a while.

poor little oak getting ignored. don't worry about it. i read flex every month. i don't like to follow routines in those mags. most of them are bogus. learn to train on instinct my friend. i never know what i am doing in the gym until i am on my way there. i do the same exercises(not including legs, and back) maybe twice in the same month. i don't know how experienced you are to lifting, but cycle your training also. that way you keep your muscles confused! any questions, just let me know! ------------------

flex and most of the fluff out there stinks.most of the mags out there are supplement "info"mercials.you might as well start taking muscletech supplements and grow like greg kovacs.don't read this shit...unless you need confusion in your life. ------------------

It certianly looks difficult...I've got a buddy who competes in Brazil who just set me up with a new routine (along with lotsa help from the intrepid Captain Insano), so its not something I'll be trying right away. However, I say go for it!

I read all those mags---its a lot of the same crap reprinted 5000 different ways, but once in awhile they throw something new in there....somehow i still feel compelled to subscribe to them all.....I read the article you are talking about---I will have to go back & take a bette rlook at it---wasnt that the one they are including something new every month to make it a year long training program.....could be interesting....

WOW! Replies! I DO feel the love! I agree with many of your comments. I really don't read many of the training articles any longer. How many times can you print an arm routine, legs, chest, without just saying the same thing over?! Mostly I like to read up on what's going on, nutrition info, etc. (yes, I even take that with a grain of salt) But I, too, still feel compelled to subscribe and read the thing cover to cover. At first I thought the plan was nuts with all of the sets but thought I'd throw my body a curve ball and get it out of the "lifting heavy all the time" routine. This certainly is different! I'll keep at it just for a change of pace and see what happens. Thanks for the replies. I'm not feeling like a leper any longer!! |
