Wandering through FC's next cycle thread and I'm wondering: if the medical community will prescribe shit that destroys your heart valves all in the name of weight loss, why hasn't medicine considered roids for obesity? Think about it. It increases your metabolism better than caffeine. It preserves muscle mass ( although I'm pressed to believe that the medical community perceives this as important). It works and works quickly. The only real problem I can think of is the fact that roids tend to raise your cholesterol and obesity is typically accompanied with high levels of bad cholesterol. So why not put them on the new (monitored) nutrition program with a prescript for anavar instead of Meridian?? ------------------     | ||

In my derranged opinion, the FDA, DEA, et al have already spewed forth too many lies and bullshit stories about gear to ever be able to recant and allow them to become legitimate pharmacuticals. Christ! A doctor who prescribes AAS to AIDS patients to fight the wasting symptoms associated with the advanced stages of the disease is considered to be "cutting edge" or "radical". Geez, a therapy that works is considered to be radical, huh? Thats a damn shame... ------------------ | ||

Oh Boy, JL, you hit the nail right square on the head. Monster, you are so right with too much crap has been spewed for them to ever recant. Cryin' shame. It still amazes me *head shakin side to side* that it is legal to go buy a pack of cigarettes but you can't go out and get your physician to write you a script for gear even if you are dieing. | ||

Has anyone tried getting a script from a foreign doctor? That way at least if you are caught with your gear you can show you have had it prescribed by an MD.... I was trying to figure this one out... Mexican or European docs maybe? | ||

Hmmm, interesting thought Juicy... But Im thinking that you need a script from a doctor who is certified by an American medical board for it to be useful here. Im not positive, but that may be the case. Mabye F1 will have some insight on this... | ||

I'm not quite so pessimistic about AAS getting back into MDs hands at some point in the not too distant future. What will drive this is the number of middle-aged professional, educated men and women with money and political influence that are turning to androgens and GH to improve the quality of life. They are the ones' that will eventually push to reform the laws. It certainly won't be a free-for-all, but I feel that there will be some level of legal access fairly soon; or our society better start to brace for a new culture of illegal steroid users and the legal issues that will follow.
