Am wondering if I'm becoming obsessed! Anyone have those body parts they aren't as eager to train and ones that they love? Well for me it's the legs. Damn, I love to work my legs. Can't get enough of that burn in my calves when I do seated calf raises. What a rush! My motivation for my upper body seems to be much less. Don't get me wrong, I sure feel my upper body workouts. I work my arms one day, chest, back and abs another but how I look forward to that leg day. I honestly think that leg press calls my name when I walk by it on my way to work my bi's and tri's. I think part of the reason may be that I have had so many knee injuries/surgeries that I feel I am lacking and hope that really increasing my strength will help prevent injury. I think I stopped counting once I broke my 12th bone in my body several years ago. I've been told at the gym to keep it to one body part a week but I wonder if doing legs twice a week, still keeping 3-4 days in between these workouts would be productive? Any comments. Feel free to tell me to suck it up and do it right if that's what I need to hear!

You need to train with F1 for one session and you will feel less love 4 em. He hits them once a week, really heavy every other week.... I am talking heavy squattin, and a set of 50 leg press.....yes 50 TIMES! or sometimes he will mix it up and make it hell on earth with a set of 25 on leg press and then a set of 25 on hack squats. Try that routine out for size! You wont even think about training them again till the next week. And you want a pump.....you will barely be able to walk from this freakin pump

Gutsy, I train my legs like new@ said F1 trains. My 1st set at the leg press is 100 reps. OUCH! And its just not physically possible to train my legs twice a week. They need the full 7 days to recoup. Its such a nasty workout that I have to do it on Sundays so I can go home and rest for the remainder of the day. Been known to puke at the gym, can barely walk out of there and get leg cramps so bad at night I can barely sleep. BUT... I LOVE IT! It is also my fave. bodypart to train. Throw some really gnarly heavy weights in there one week, then see if you want to do it again in 3 days

Oh, I hate to train legs. I have to drink a pot of coffee, suck back 10 vivarin, half a bottle of lipokinetix, take 5 clen, and do a chant to get motivated. Once I am there, no problem. I train like a madwoman. I guess the impending doom of the soreness lingers around in my head for a while...I'm glad I have someone to drag my ass into the gym on those days and say...C'mon girl, this is why you come here. Let's go.

Hmmmm...I'm seeing a pattern here *L*. Maybe what I need to do changed up my workout a bit and increase the intensity. Certainly the thought of working my legs for the first few days after I do them now, makes me nauseous. Think I'm hearing a "suck it up and to it right..THE FIRST TIME!!. Thanks for you input. That's what I love about this board!

LOL, ript! I forgot to mention that I have to do about the same thing before legs too! 2 12oz. cups of espresso, 2 adipokinetiks, new batteries in the cd player, and i HAVE to wear a ballcap to the gym that day. I dont want to scare anyone with my purple face and bulging eyes while Im on the leg press. I kinda look like that lady that can pop her eyeballs out of her sockets.

All I can say is WOW. That answers my question that I put on my post (New to the Board). I have been sore and wanted to quit, but that is just about it. Now I know that I have not been doing 1/4 of what you all do, but I am sure that TEXASAMM was just easing me into it so I wouldn't quit. Food, food, food is what I would need to do what you guys do.

I seem to go in cycles. My first year I had an affinity to abs: had a 1-hour ab routine that I did 1-2X per week and loved it. The next year was big legs and I had trouble walking out of the gym every time. Then came back ...and I still like that one quite a bit. This year seems to be arms: big bi's and big tri's. ..now if I could just roll all that into one year, I'd be a monster! ------------------
