Well this is probably ranked up there with Elites Stupidest Posts but here it goes:
I am having a major problem with my diet due to the fact I hate most everything that could possibly be good for you. And have lived on Carbs my whole life. So is there somthing any of you could make out of this list of foods that could be used as at least a half ass diet?
peanut butter
"white" wheat bread
cherios
chicken
grits (haha suthern thing)
cheese
skim milk
potatos
jelly
ham
roast beef
a little black angus ground beef
cereal cereal and more cereal
protein drinks
gycerol
2 flintstone vitamins/day am pm
extra vitamin c
water water water
tea
apples
canned pears, oranges
bacon

Well thats about it. I only listed the "better" of the foods I eat. The worst is most ALL carbs and simple sugars in every form. I feel like if I don't eat the carbs I will starve to death!lol I am very frustrated. Would it be terribly unheathy to maybe use part of the foods above and use liquid meal substitutes? I can't get enough decent food during the day on this limited list? This really sucks! Please have pity and help me!

I feel for ya girl! I am trying to get my diet down as well. F1 has told me to eliminate the peanutbutter due to the fact I eat it like it is going out of style Anyways you got some good things in your diet, you need to make sure you are taking in tons of protien. Chicken, tuna, steak, lean hamburger meat, ham whatever you like. Try new stuff, I am looking for ideas on good foods as well. Eating so much you run out of food! Make sure you are consuming some protein shakes, bars for extra protein source. Keep the simple carbs to a minimal....they can get ya in trouble. It takes a little adjusting but its not so bad, and the more carbs you eat... you will feel hungry faster. Check out my post I am askin for some ideas on some creative foods to eat. Hope that helps

Tneygirl- you are so silly! - it looks like you are asking for us to tell you it's okay to eat the bad stuff off your food list. You might have better luck on a "fat-n-happy" discussion board.

Are you trying to lean out right now? If so you're going to have to cut the starchy carbs. There's no way around it. Fill up on protein, fibers, and H2O.

We all battle using food as entertainment. Stop thinking about food as fun and think of it only as a means to an end - the materials from which you are building the body you want.

Oooo Juicy-no pity from you I see!lol It's one thing to prefer carbs and another to feel like your going to puke eating tuna, oatmeal, etc. These things physically turn my stomach! I love the way salads look but put it in my mouth and gag! I know all the "facts" regarding carbs, sugars, etc. BUT I must work with what I stomach. The way I feel right now is peanut butter is a better choice over say the chocolate eclair for dinner. I do not feel it is healthy to limit your carbs to next to nothing unless your pre contest but I also am aware living on vitually nothing but carbs will kill you too. So I have to start somewhere and the 1st step for me is working with what I do like that isn't the "worst" for a diet and may provide some nutrients then trying to add in a few new things which may turn my stomach.

I don't really know what kind of diet plan you are following, but are you on a no fat diet. If so then disregard what I have to say. The only thing I see that you might want to add is a source for healthy dietary fat. Even on a low fat diet, I feel most people should have at least 1-3 tablespoons of Flax seed oil, canola oil, etc. Also, most oils like canola oil are cheap, cheap, cheap, and they can be bought at any grocery store. Just add them to any protein drink with skim milk. Don't know if it fits your taste buds but maybe it might. Like I said, if the diet you are following prohibits the ingestion of all fat, then just disregard my post.

Mr. BMJ-Thats just it there is no diet I can follow because I don't like anything! I sound like a 5 year old child I know. I do use flaxseed oil everyday.

This doesn't seem all that unworkable to me. If you don't like anything, than it would seem to me that you're not eating the right stuff. When you go out for dinner, what is your favorite (guessing italian?)? Do you like vegetarian dishes? Do you consider yourself to be a good cook? You say that you don't like canned Tuna; do you like it fresh (seared with sesame seeds etc.)? What is it about most foods that turn you off??

if you did body opus you would get to eat all those yummy high fat foods , with no carbs ,during the week , and then you could have all your sweets from friday night through saturday night . Ask SassyS she got great results on that program , drug free.

Tnheygirl ,
I have been where your at..I love all of the foods you posted and I could eat a whole box of cereal in a day!!! I would try substitution..

what I mean is try substituting white wheat for sugar freewhole wheat, eat turkey breast, chicken breast instead of ham and roast beef. Mix one whole egg with 4 whites to give it some flavor. I have started eating Kashi Medley cereal with a 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I love it)...

Start off with just one or two things and before long you will acquire a taste for the more "healthy" foods..I promise, it worked for me!

Just dont cheat with ANY carbs.. otherwise youll get out of ketosis and gain fat.

Only thing is, youll feel pretty damn sick after a week of that.. as JayeLynn... I think she also did it.
