I was doing every morning 20-30 minutes of aerobics and weight training 5 days in the evenings. I had some success right off but am now at a plateau. I'm thinking about switching around my routine. I realized after reading some info on this board that I wasn't allowing my muscle time to recuperate and could be defeating the purpose of weight training. I'm thinking of going to M-F weight training, T-TH-Sat cardio for 1 hour and Wed & Sun off. How does this sound? My intention is fat reduction while maintaining or building muscle. I was taking E/C/A twice a day, Betagen morning and evening after workouts. Protein drink morning and evening after workouts also. Diet is pretty good, have my cheat day sometimes more than once a week, but mostly stick to it.

What is your body fat?? Make sure your diet is consisting of plenty of protein and moderate carbs. Also drink tons and tons of water. I wouldnt weight train more than 3-4 days a week so you have ample time to recover and GROW! What is the intensity of your cardio. I would not do that more than 3-4 days a week for like 30 minutes or so. What is your diet like? Make sure your training is intense. Watch those cheat days...they sneak up on ya

Bodyfat I'm guessing is about 23-25%. What about the switch from the 5 - 30 minutes cardio sessions to 3 - 1 hour sessions?

Sounds good skorty. Fewer but longer cardio sessions seem to kick many people's metabolism back into gear. Keep us posted.
