Allright...I'm 5'5", 101lbs., 20yrs. old...of course, female....
I need a new workout plan. I have a lifetime membership @ a gym, do you think I use it? Hell no! I'm too damn lazy! I used to workout all the time, and I had a little toneage goin' on, but for some reason, I cannot get motivated. When I'm at home, I do squats and lunges, and speed-walk on the treadmill....all while using 5lb. or 10lb. weights. I need to know what would be the best workout regimen for me @ the gym in order to get my muscles toned, and my body in great form. I don't want to bulk up like Chyna, but I can't afford to lose any weight, especially in the chest area (if you know what I mean!), for cryin' out loud....I'm a limp noodle! But I would like to start something ASAP because winter is here, and I want to be prepared for next summer. Could anyone help me please? All information, comments, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. - I'm newbie here on E.F.....so hello everyone! :0 )

No sarcasm..well maybe a little

But all of this has been discussed before and in great detail.

So a search would be your best bet

IG, I have searched for all kinds of stuff that I know was posted on the women's board and end up wading thru all kinds of crap from the anabolics and other boards and usually don't find what I am looking for. For example I spent a whole evening trying to find the workout program that Warlobo did for Dlady and it is GONE. Luckily I did print it out at one time and was able to find it in the piles of crap on my desk. Maybe we ( well actually you and some of the other experienced folks on here) should create a basic womens info thread so we could tell them what to search for and they would be able to find it. Just an idea.

what is your diet like? Diet is everything!! Motivation is up to you, either you want it or you dont. No one can make you thats up to you. Some weight training and cardio will obviously help boost your metabolism and lean body mass. You should have your body fat done to see where you are, weight really means nothing and your weight is not high anyways. Make sure you are eating small frequent meals and drink tons of water! just some friendly advice.

Did I read your stats correctly? 5'5" and 101 pounds and you think you are fat?! I'm 5'3 1/2" weighing about 127 - 130# (not sure, I don't own a scale) I'm guessing I'm at about 18%bf currently (I'm pretty accurate w/this as I've gotten to know my body pretty well.).....I just got told by a bunch of people in the know (when I was proudly displaying my hard-earned ghetto bottie - not that I don't have a ways to go - LOL!) that it's still too small!

So I'm guessing I'm a cow.

Not giving you a hard time, sista. since you're knew you don't know that I'm very tongue-in-cheek.....but SHEESH!...tell me that I misunderstood your post! :O

I was thinking the same BMom. But then I reminded myself of a woman I work with. She's a self-confessed couch potato who weighs in at 102 lbs. She's my height (5'5"). I'm around 165 lbs! The odd thing is that she looks thin, but if you pinch her skin she's really fat. REALLY fat. I would guesstimate around 30-35%bf. In other words she is nuttin' but skin, bone and fat plus the minimum amount of muscle required to lift herself off the couch. If this is the case with you Azian, then you need to get yourself to the gym and lifts those darn weights. Lift heavy. There's NO WAY you will look even remotely like Chyna. And if you're not that fat, then you still need to get yourself to the gym and lift those weights. And eat eat eat lots of protein, complex carbs, fruits and veggies. Eat 5-7 times per day.

MS is right on...

Buttery is the term I like to use for women like that.

Good diet and hard weight training with minimal or no cardio.

Welcome Azia, I see your off to a running start with a number of replies - I think even our charming IG has taking a liking to yas

Take your time and read, read, read!

Temple, you have a good point on that damn search. I've tried many a time to look up old posts that I WROTE, and have had a heck of a time finding them. So Im a bit more sympathetic when I get questions to items we have talked about. Sometimes Ill even go back a get the thread, or at least re-post the core info.

For sure the search function sucks. Is there a good reason why we can't search by discussion group? Why dredge through all of the anabolics posts, etc when you're only looking for something you're sure was posted on the women's board? George??

Oyyyy...ha ha!
No, no, no... I do NOT want to lose any weight at all! I want to get my muscles toned, w/out losing weight, or completely bulking up. I don't want to be performing the wrong exercises so my body starts to look, well, mis-shaped. I have a small chest, don't want to lose much of what I really don't have, ya know! I ha a nice-shaped body, I just want to have some tone. I eat like a cow, and since i have a super high metabolism, I don't know where it goes! I do not eat too many junk foods, and I skip dinner and breakfast a lot.....well, I guess I have a bad diet!! ;0 P And I definitely don't drink enough water, thats for sure!
What, do you all think I'm crazy??! To want to lose weight is like wanting to get a tit job! (my boyfriend would kill me either way!)I'm not anorexic.....I know I'm skinny and I can't help it. I only wanted to know what would be the best way for me to get shaped up and to use what right exercises/machines/diet to help me out best. Thank-you all for your concern though! ha ha
Please reply.....

OK AziaReign, I think I got it. One of the things that bugs SOME people on this discussion group is the word toning. I understand what you want to accomplish now, and believe it or not that 'toned' look comes from heavy weight training. You will not look overdeveloped (in other words too muscular)unless you take steroids. So my advice is to train like your boyfriend/partner that you asked about in another post. I'm assuming if he's wanting to take AAS then he is probably training intensely with heavy weights and low reps, and also hopefully he's eating lots of small, nutritious, high protein meals each day? Same should apply to you, but obviously you won't be moving as much weight as him or eating as much! That's my inflated 2 cents worth.
