While we've never met, I can't help but wish the best for you. To the friends of Dark Angel, are you seeing her at the hospital? I ask because some doctors are somewhat "antique" about their medical management of amputations. DA has suffered a traumatic below-knee amputation (BKA), correct? By now she should long since have been fitted with a stump shrinker. The doctor should have a damn good excuse if she hasn't been fitted with a rigid removable dressing (RRD). This long postop she can begin partial weight bearing on the residual limb with the RRD. I don't know what other considerations there are though (how responsive is she?).
