I have started doing deadlifts about a month ago. Im not that strong on them but I have so far worked my way up to 3 sets of 275 8 reps. My question is...I use an overhand grip for my right arm and and an underhand grip for my left. Will this create a imbalance of development anywhere?? Thanks. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Try alternating for all working sets and use your "strong side" grip for max sets..works for me.

I agree with max, except on the strong side part. Just keep alternating for each set regardless of which set it is. Make 'em both equally strong over time. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I agree with that. Alternate your hands to what is comfortable for you. It won't create an imbalance. when i was a freshman in high school i never deadlifted in my life. In the first month i went fromdoing like 225lbs. to 475lbs. i didn't take anything. it didn't help that i used my back either. Anyways back on the subject alternate, but a hint is use your strong grip over and weak under. Peace and be Safe! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
