I tried this on leg day and I had gotten one of the best leg workouts ever. what I did was do the normal pyramiding. I'll show my squat example.
1st set warm up bar only
2nd set light set to aprox 40% fail
3rd set heavier but to about 60% fail
2 working sets doing a 5 rep max.
2 light sets doing 15-18 reps

I did that with deads too and I was ready to throw up but I held it in. I haven't gotten a workout this good for months. I am gonna stick with it for a while but I am cutting out an excercise because of the higher amount of fatigue. I suggest that some of you give it a try and post your opinion.

It is 1 hour after one of the best back workouts of my life yet. (right now I'm watching the 1999 Mr. Olympia on video.) Thought I'd post it too!

2 min warmup
3 sets wide grip chins to failure wieghted 15lbs
3 sets close grip chins to failure wieghted 25lbs
2 sets of wide and close grip pulldowns 12reps to failure

3 sets bent over BB rows
4 sets heavy T-bar rows
3 sets cable rows
(only 1 or 2 sets to failure on these)
3 sets leg curls
3 sets straight leg deads
3 sets hammer curls

Don't usually do leg biceps this day but I missed my leg workout Man I was pumped today!

Another good squat program i did was a variation on a fred "dr squat" hatfield recommedation.Basically i did this-
Warm up * 2 sets
1 set of 25 reps with a weight that makes you struggle to get 25.
one minute's rest then do a set of 15 with the same weight.
one minute's rest then a set of 12
one minutes rest then a set of 8
ones minutes rest then a set of 6
one minute's rest then a set of 4
By the time you will finish this you will be soaked to the bone, breathing like a racehourse and close to exhaustion. The first time i did this i felt a little disappointed,as i had a great pump and severe fatigue in my lower back, but my legs just felt a little tired not really sore or pumped. This is very desceptive as the next day i could barley walk, with the soreness in my quads, and my lower back felt normal. Its a killer but a great challenge.

I can assure that this next routine will give you the pump of a lifetime. The question is are you strong enough to endure it? This is what Casey Viator did. Casey Viator performed 25 nonstop reps to failure on the Leg Press with 750 pounds. Then with no rest, he performed the entire stack + 220 pounds of additional plates on the Leg Extension Machine for 22 reps. Then he immediately went to the squat rack and did ass to floor squats with 505 pounds for 12 reps. I believe Casey Viator was probably one of the strongest men to ever walk this earth. A year later, Sergio Oliva tried the same workout. After his set of Leg Extensions he clapsed before he even reached the squat rack. Let me lay out the routine for you.

1. Leg Press 1 set x 25 reps to failure
supersetted with
2. Leg Extensions 1 set x 20 reps to failure
supersetted with
3. Squats 1 set x 12 reps to failure

Be sure that you use the heaviest weights possible. Good luck. I tried it with less weight of course, and it is very difficult.
