HEY GUYS IM STARTING THE STATIC CONTRACTION WORKOUT WHICH CONSISTS OF HOLDING A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF WEIGHT MOTIONLESS FOR 1 SET --15 SECONDS. ITS ONLY ONE WORKOUT PER WEEK AND THE RESULTS FROM THE AUTHORS OF THE BOOK CLAIM SUPER SIZE GAINS. I'LL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED ON MY RESULTS ....HOWEVER IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO HAS TRIED THIS PROGRAM PLEASE POST WHAT KIND OF RESULTS YOU ACHIEVED.

hey tulk did you buy the static contraction book and follow the program as outlined by the authors? how many days a week did you workout? how many sets did you do per exercise? just curious....i can learn from what you did too. thanks man.

I can tell you outright that no range of motion = minimal muscular growth. You will increase maximal nerve force, and power through a ROM of about 2 inches either side of the point where you hold the weight, but you will grow very little if any muscle without some kind of range of motion. Sorry to burst the balloon, but there it is. G.

Well im glad to say gforce that i base my decisions when it comes to muscle building on real world tests conducted on natural bodybuilders. sisco and little did just that in their book and came up with great results. its a 10 week program and at the end i will post the results for you guys. until then im keeping the faith!!!

Hey i did mine as part of the size surge 2 book. The second phase of training has you using the static contraction as the first set of any contracted movement(leg ext, concentration curls, cable crossover..stuff like that) then you do two more sets of the exercise. It was five days a weekhitting each body part twice every eigth days, I got a pretty good streght increase but nothing special in he gains department! email me if you have anymore questions. Bison...lets see now... Who conducted the tests?..Sisco and Little Who wrote the book?...Sisco and Little Who makes money when you buy it? ..Sisco and Little. Who has replicated their results in double blind objective studies?....NO ONE. Can the research therefore be said to be valid? No. End of chat. G.

hey tulk the program tlaks about 2 workouts..1 done on monday and the 2nd done the following monday, one day a week with lots of rest unlike the program in the size surge 2 manual. and it also just calls for 1 maybe 2 sets of static holds no regular sets after like you did. so the program is definetely different from the one you did. i'll keep you posted though. As for gforce....im happy to say im not as closed minded as you are and this discussion will end when i say so in 10 weeks when i post my final results so feel free to stop in between now and then....ohh by the way i compete in n.y. nj. p.a. and conn so if there is ever a need to settle this at a natural show muscle to muscle in front of the judges where we cant hind behind some board im gamed...

Bison, i am anything but close minded. I am simply stating a fact that without tissue microtrauma, you will not create larger muscles, and with out a range of motion, you PHYSICALLY CAN NOT INDUCE microtrauma to cause muscle tissue growth. You CAN cause increases in nerve force output with maximal static contractions. You can cause power output increases in a range of motion a couple of inches either side of the point of contraction. You may also increase tendon and ligament strength through static stress. What you will not induce however, is muscular growth of the type that you seek. I am sorry to dissapoint you but many years of REAL scientific study are against you here my friend. I dont mean to disrespect you in any way, and your belief in yor convictions is admirable, but then again, somewhere in the world there is a man who will swear the earth is flat. Cheers, G.

well gforce what i will do is this...gains or no gains i will post my results....if i dont gain at least 7lbs over the 10 week course while not increasing my present fat % then i will have to flat out say "im wrong and it was time wasted". even if i can lift more weight after using this system but i dont have the muscular gains to show for it i will still agree with you that the system is garbage..i say that because i could care less how much i can lift, the judges want to see muscle and so do i!!! hey if i achieve a 7lb increase with no fat storage in 10 weeks would you give it try?

If you gain 7lbs in 10 weeks I still wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, Gforce is right. PERIOD.

Bison...the last thing i need is more muscle...lol. I am a Powerlifter / Strongman, not a BBer pretty boy...hehehehe. Anyway, what i suggest you do is read up on some real science, in phys and or biomed. exercise journals, and save yourself a wasted ten weeks. Just some advice from the trenches eh...G.

here's the info mr. peepers: Workout A Workout B on monday you would do workout A then 7 to 8 days later you would do workout B and so on. you would only do 1 maybe 2 sets of static hold per exercise. if you want to get started and not wait until the end of my test in 10 weeks to post the results email me and i'll give you some final details..
