Hi everyone, For some reason whenever I workout it seems like I don't workout hard enough. I know that I push myself hard. I only do about 2 sets per exersize so I don't know if this is the problem or what. I usually lift for about an hour and a half. I have noticed that when I am in more of a hurry I always have better workouts. Has anyone else experienced this and what is going on?

take some kind of eca like dymetadrine; that will help you greatly on your focus and drive. as for time i never go over45 min because thats when i start to get exhausted; dont ever half ass you workouts, do each rep as if its a matter of life and death, this sounds extreme but fuck' it helps with the failure pumps.

Well thanks guys, keep the replies coming, I'd like to hear more. I can see where you all are coming from, everytime I have like 50 minutes to an hour to workout I usually do really well. There's just something about knowing you have more than enough time that makes you slack off or something. When I go to the gym next I'm gonna try one of those carbo rush shakes or whatever...the ones that are supposed to boost your energy. If I don't get mentally prepared for a workout I usually do poorly so maybe that will help.

Hi Garza, Yes, I have had the same situations. I do not recommend that you supplement with an ECA stack like Dymetadrine Xtreme, at least not for your workouts. It isn't good to take them regularly. Sure, they may give you better workouts, but think about the health hazards involved. You don't want to rely on this stuff forever, if you do still want to workout in the future. It can never replace mind power. Know what your goals are. And focus on achieving them. If you're at the gym and have no motivation, ask yourself this. "What am I doing here?" You're there to workout. To improve your physique. To get every hot girl in bed. Whatever your motivation is....let it be the drive that fuels your workouts. Don't rely on stimulants. You'll feel better about it. Save that 15-20 bucks for something else. The only time you should ever use a fat burner, such as an ECA stack, is when your goals are to cut up. And if you do use one, do stay on it for no more than 8-12 weeks. I strongly recommend that you stop using it on week 8, but 12 weeks would be ok. You don't want your body to get use to this stuff. It's like coffee, you can get addicted to this stuff. And it can be hard coming off of it. Sorry about that long lecture. Just some friendly advise. Good luck on your training and keep us updated. ------------------

I've been watching these posts for the last few weeks and I feel like I am ready to hop in and add my two cents. I have to agree that you need to remember why you are busting your ass day-in and day-out. Start thinking about your workout well before you get to the gym. I start thinking about exactly what I am going to do the minute I leave work. Not just the bodypart I am working, but the excerises I will be performing, the reps, the weights, etc. I can see myself performing each set and each rep well before I ever set foot in the gym. When I finally reach the gym I am ready to get to work. I throw on my headphones, crank up the music, and go to work. That is exactly what it is -- work. If it was easy every little stick figure in the gym who says he works out would be huge. Don't talk to anyone (unless you have a partner) -- just focus. You will have plenty of time to socialize once you leave the gym. You are the only one who can achieve what you have established as "perfection" in your mind. Now it is just a matter of doing it. If you truly want it, go after it like you have never gone after anything before. You are the master of your destiny -- take hold of it. ------------------

Well motivation can be taken care of very easily, IF, you can truly tell yourself that you want to be in the gym working out. If not, then leave the gym. I never have any problem wanting to be in the gym or working out, I Absolutely Love It! The night before or that day, think about the gym, what body part you are going to be working, and how bad ass of a workout you are going to have, and think about blowing the rest of the wanna-be weight lifters/bodybuilders out of the water. I've gotten to the point were I get compliments all the time and people come up to me and ask me for advice. It feels good to know that all your hard work has payed off, not that your just wasting time and energy. You seen yourself grow and your physique improve and it is honestly one of the best feelings in the world. As for the stimulants like dymetadrine or zenadrine, I highly recommend them. I only use them for a pre-workout boost. If you never have used them they will turn you into a madman, the intensity and drive is wonderful. True there can be sides and health problems if they are not taken correctly or abuse, just as with anything else. Taking 1-2 pills before a workout is not going to hurt you in any way. If you dont want to try that then pick up some l-tyrosine, it is a neurotransmitter that could help your focus an concentration. Later, good luck.
