On heavy bar curls, Ive been using an ez-bar for about the last 6 months. Last night I thought that I should go back to the old straight bar in an attempt to shock the bis. I can't use near as much weight, but when I look back, I think I made far more progress with it. What do you guys think?

Yea dude go for it. Build strength with the strait bar and then who knows maybe you'll go back in 6months to the EZ curl. It will stress slightly different areas of the bicep: they will grow!

Un-be-fucking-livable!!! I just finished my arm workout and man did I ever get a pump off those curls. They pumped up to 16 3/4" and my unpumped arm is 15 3/4". A full one inch pump. I guess I really shocked 'em. I'd recommend this to anyone who's been using the ez-bar for a while.

straight bar and dumbells for bicips,ez curl bar for tricips, try your curls with a thumbless grip this will give you a major pump. ------------------

Why do you think they call it an "E-Z" curl bar. Becuase its easier to do more weight with it than straight bars. I prefer the straight bar. ------------------

i also prefer straight bar curls. i can actually lift more weight with a straight bar than a curl bar, go figure. ------------------

Dude? Its the same movement. You are curling your bicep muscle. I can't see how they make a difference just by the grip. |
