My wrists go into extreme hyperextension on front squats., Any suggestions to correct this. I dont want to use that crossing arms technique IP: Logged |

Make sure you are completely stretched out before you front squat. Try changing the location of your hands during the exercise. I've noticed that there is less hyperextension when my hands are slightly further than shoulder width apart. -Warik IP: Logged |

Vanguard, warick is definately right stretch your wrists very well before beginning the movement. Something else I have found that helps with the pain is to try and hold your elbows as high as possible. This will help relive some of the stress on your wrists. IP: Logged |

Here's a little trick I learned. Take a pair of straps, put the loop part around the bar and hold onto the straps. Keep your elbows high. Works great! IP: Logged |

Biomechanically, it's not as efficient and it doesn't offer enough control on heavy weight. IP: Logged |

You could buy a forward manta ray. Ive never seen them for sale, just at gyms. But if you looked around you could probably get one. Or just use a reg. one. I dont use them, just thought it might help. IP: Logged |
