Heres my new bench routine that i created and its workin wonders for me and my bro. Its a bench 2x a week , so it's hard but worth it. Here it is Bench Day 1: 8reps x3 sets of light weight on flat bench Bench Day2: 2reps x 8sets at heavy weight pausing for a 2 sec count at the bottom of the lift and keeping the same weight the whole time. Then do some light tri pushdowns to get a good pump. Remember, this isn't for the light hearted bencher, it takes energy, and u must space out the workouts to. What do u think? IP: Logged |

Have you been doing this long? Is your second bench day 2reps x 8 sets, is that bacwards? should it be 2sets x 8 reps? And do you do these bench days one after the other? eg: mon, tues? Is the flat bench all your doing for Pecs? If this works for you, GREAT!! Doing chest 2x week doesn't work for me, here's what I like to do for chest: Flat DB OR BB 10,8,8,8 Incline flies or press 10,8,8 Decline flies 8,8,8 Standing cross over cable push down 10,10,10 I very the workout sometimes doing Pec dec, Flies or press but at least 4 movements. now i spread them out between 4 days. the 1st day i do other chest stuff to. no, that's right, 8 sets of 2 reps, provides a lot of power IP: Logged |

I have a workout for chest that does great too and it is 2 different workouts I alternate on. I congradulate you because you experimented before coming on the boards. you didn't ask for a chest workout you made your own. some people just come on the boards asking for a workout when no one knows a single thing about them and they havn't even lifted a finger to try something themselves. ------------------ IP: Logged |
