My delts look alright, but it seems the triceps overpower my rear delts. What should I do? Would you say this is a "genetical" problem of sorts? Should I use fascial stretching to help with separation? Anybody have this problem? Hmm. ------------------ IP: Logged |

You just have a lagging bodypart, i wouldn't write it off to genetics just yet.The best rear delt builder in my opinion is bent over dumbell lateral raise.Do them slow and controlled, and you can get a good peak contration at the top of the movement by bobbing down slightly when the dumbells are at shoulder level.I have also seen another rear delt isolater done, by lying on a incline bench face down holding to dumbells by your side. You then simply lift the dumbells to the rear as high as you can and return to begining, the range of motion is quite small, and you have to use a light weight.Try supersetting them for a good burn, good luck. I totally agree with TRIHARD! Bent-over lateral raises (they'are also called reverse flys) are excellent for the rear delts. For variety, there are a few variations of this exercise that you can do. TRIHARD mentioned leaning against an incline bench. This is one of my favorites because you can isolate the rear delts much better. You can also hit the rear delts effectively on a peck deck by reversing the exercise. ---------------------------------------- Train.........................(S)mart IP: Logged |

My delt devolopment isn't too bad... but my tri's totally outshine my rear delt too. I personally think it looks cooler than shit. I don't think it's genetics. Just developed triceps. Bent lateral raises will do the trick. Just don't let your pride kick in. Go light, get the form down. IP: Logged |

good advice here..i got some more try seperating your rear delt workout from your two other deltoid heads. and instead train rear delts with back..that way you will hit the whole backside at once. if you dont get anywere with bent over/lying lateral raises. you might wanna try lying reverse cable crossovers..lie on a bench use the cable cross upper sled..and pull outwards..in the same motion as rear lateral raises..burns the shit outta them. ------------------ "...damn you for not giving my TEST" - Metallica "After this show i'll be fat and happy again.....If i make it to the show...." - Lee Priest IP: Logged |

Excellent advice fellas. Much appreciated, much appreciated. I think Mr. Muscle's on to something with isolating the rear delts on back day. Think I'll try it out, see what happens. Thanks again bros. Ragin Asian ------------------ IP: Logged |
